Just seen this on the official CFC page.

Seems the H+F Council are keen for us to remain in the area and are keen to re-open dialogue as to how we can expand the capacity at the Bridge.

Not sure what options there really are given the clubs statements in this regard recently but it would be great news if they could find a way to keep us at the Bridge whilst also increasing capacity.

100 years---This is fantastic news---and lets hope it gets us somewhere! I know we cant egress to the East and West, but I've never understood why we couldn't have a Bridge over the railway behing the MH Stand!

Nothing like the thought of having Chelsea and all the rates and business it brings in disappearing out of the borough to concentrate minds at the council

Give us 100m to do stand, 50m to expand transport links/access to the ground, 10m to buy out tenants, 1m to buy off the council and LT.

My fee: a lifetime season ticket!

Encouraging news. I understand the need to increase capacity, but it's nice to only have had one ground.

How about keeping S.B as it is an building another stadium elsewhere for the Japanesse tourists to go to. Put a few guys in Torres and Lampard shirts to kick a ball around for 90 minutes and charge 50 quid a ticket. They wont know the difference, everyone's a winner!!

Although I liked the thought of building and moving into a new stadium. If the council can find a way of expanding the capacity of Stamford Bridge that will be fantastic news.

Agreed. Problem is, will they be able to increase the capacity enough to make it viable.

Knocking down the hotel seems an option but what revenue does that produce? Must be a fair bit through corporate etc.

I'd love SB to become a 60k capacity stadium....asking for too much?!

Think 50-55k be plenty; the corporate boxes would have to be plentiful to make it work fiinancially.

Could you build enough in a one tier Kop?
