Mondays Council meeting put back a week.........because of complexity in the deal.

Another week to suffer, another week with no players to come in.

We got to start winning with the team we've got,it's as simple as that.

Better PCC do it properly and not rush in and risk a Judicial Review at some point in the future. There are bound to be those that oppose this deal so why give them the excuse to scupper it and plunge us back into the brown stuff with nowhere to go. If it is delayed another week then so be it for me. We should be used to delays by now anyway.

Spoke to Ridsdale and Brent in the club shop on Saturday and they say this won't hold things up at all - still wouldn't give a date though.

I agree with sensible - we want them to do it correctly else they would put risk on the whole deal.

Having hoped the BIL deal would go through on the "bird in the hand" principle, I think the fact that the council will take on Home Park is one of the big positives that have emerged from the Brent deal.

Hopefully it's the best of both worlds, a landlord who won't want to sink the club for fear of ballot-box repercussions and the ability to benefit from public interest sports & leisure developments nearby.

Still, let's remain glum & worried until documents are signed, I know I will!
