Think about it, Smalling and Young supported Arsenal but joined us, Ramsey supported us but joined Arsenal, there's many more players i can think of as well, onto my point, i don't think i could play against United, i would find it hard in my opinion to play against the club i supported.
Answer: Yes. If I was a professional footballer, paid to play football I would and play damn well. Why? One being paid to do a job and secondly who knows, maybe end up being wanted by the club you supported.
Well my ego leads me to believe I am ****ing awesome yet my career peeked at captaining the school so probably not. On a serious note if I was good enough I would be more determined when playing Manchester United just to prove myself amongst the team I would want to be apart of.
When the opportunity from a club comes to play professional football, you have to take it regardless of which team you support. John O'Shea was a boyhood Liverpool fan, and now he most likely hates them with a passion. Jamie Carragher as a boy used to follow Everton home and away. It doesn't take long for you to switch the team you support once your playing for 1 of there rivals. Your not just a fan anymore you become apart of that team
