We all know we have to strengthen this summer. We definitely have the manager to achieve this and we now have the funds. So my question is, Do you think winning the F.A. Cup, for the first time in our history, is now a realistic target for our club? I think we can beat anyone on our day and the Liberty has become a ground where opposing teams come for the point....with a favourable draw we could go all the way and over the next few seasons I'll be having a sneaky punt on it. It's a realistic scenario. Do any of you guys think we could achieve even more than that?
Can't see any team 'targeting' a cup win apart from the big boys who find themselves adrift from where they should be in the League. Like Everton tried this season past. Rodgers will target Prem survival and anything else is a bonus. That's the way it should be.
I think it will depend on the summer transfer dealing. If he gets the 5-6 players that he wants and we dont lose anyone then I can't see why we can't look at a trophy but i think he would look at the League Cup before the FA Cup though as it will allow us more chance to rotate players, plus it finishes earlier so we wont have shed loads of fixtures on top of each other at an important time in the league, especially if we (fingers crossed it doesnt happen) are in a potential relegation fight!
anyone can win the cup depends on the draw and the will of the manager, swans record in the last few years is hardly a recommendation, might get 500-1
