I really fill that kedwell may have started his last game for the Gills yesterday, he cannot play with Cody any longer. Can anyone remember the last time either player has scored when they are on the pitch together. Once kedwell was off Cody was so much better. Need a new striker in january which means kedwell and German to leave. With kedwell's injuries making him even less mobile; I am sorry to say goodbye.

Might be a good idea to make him a midfielder behind the front two

His first touch is awful so he wouldn't be any good in midfield. I'm afraid he's got to go, along with Fish, Barrett , Hoyte, McLean, and Linganzi. That should free up some money if we can find other clubs to take them.

The pie shop will be disappointed if he leaves.

2014 A nightmare year for Danny! Two ops followed by lack of fitness and form. Endless chinese whispers
about his relationship with PT. 32 next B/day...I'm afraid to say, your time is up. If you stay it will only be
as a squad player, and I don't think you would be happy with that. Hope you find another club to see out
the rest of your career. Thanks for all the goals!

Kedwell has been fantastic for Gills over the last three and a half years. Unfortunately his success has been built on doing more running than anyone else in the team which is unusual for a heavy boned guy and it is inevitable that age will hit him harder than a slimline player. Realistically he may be able to grind out another full season at somewhere like Wimbledon and it makes sense for him to go if his contract can be paid up. If this happens he should leave with the thanks of supporters for a job well done.

I always used to like Kedwell for his enthusiasm and the way he worked hard for the team. However as Old Timer in Cyprus said, this has not been his year with injuries and rumours and now recently he has looked unfit and ineffective. As the title of the thread suggests I think this could be the end. People suggested on twitter when the team was announced that was it a coincidence that he was starting and captain in the last home game before the January Transfer Window. I don't want to bring up the old argument but I do think that Akinfenwa would be a better option than Kedwell. These are the stats. This season (in terms of Wimbledon players) in all competitions Akinfenwa has the second highest amount of goals (9) only being beaten by Tubbs. He also has the second highest number of assists (6). Now for Kedwell (in terms of Gills players). Number of goals (5) which is the second highest although he still has 4 less than Akinfenwa. Also of those 5 goals, 2 were penalties, 2 were rebounds from penalties and the other one was against Swindon where although it was due to his hard work, the only reason he got such a simple goal was because of the error by the Swindon keeper. Also to answer your question gioblues, the last time Kedwell scored when he and Cody were playing together would be the rebounded penalty in the 4-1 loss to Barnsley. The last time Cody scored when they were playing together was in the 2-0 win over Crewe all the way back on the 30th August.

Well done patchy on finding out when either player had scored. Akinfenwa was no doubt a much better partner for cody but he could not last 90 mins, therefore a younger version needed. What i don't want to see is cody in midfield if another striker does come in.

It's all going to be very different with a new manager coming in, unfortuantely all they will have to go on is coach reports and the videos of games so far which would probably indicate the end for Danny, I can't imagine this season will get a good write up.

I know Ebbsfleet openly said they wanted him a month of so back, frankly I would see that as being a big drop as I am sure he could do the business in L2, maybe we will tie him into a deal for a player from L2 that we want.

well Kedwell didn t last long going to Ebbsfleet. Will Cody also leave if a another club make a bid for him as no contract has been offered yet and he is out of contact in the summer. Think we have to keep him happy as we need his goals to keep us in this league.
