    Be one less?

Coach Cesare Prandelli says he would not have a problem if Italy withdrew from Euro 2012 amid match-fixing allegations in the domestic league.

Police made 19 arrests while Domenico Criscito was dropped after he was questioned at Italy's training camp.
Italian prime minister Mario Monti called for a suspension of football.

"If you told us for the good of football we should not participate, it wouldn't be a problem for me," Prandelli told Italian TV.
"There are things that I believe are more important.

"I dislike crusades. I prefer to face up to things and not take positions without considering the consequences.

Well they've lost their last 3 and don't have an easy group so they might just whimper out in the group stage anyway.

I think the Italian's should be banned from all European games for atleast 5 years. Anyone found guilty should be banned from the game of football.

Any teams should be relegated to the lower leagues.

I think its times FIFA become ruthless. It happened in cricket - a guy found guilty of match fixing couldn't even play in a friendly match in a park.

Pakistan have not been banned from test cricket though for what their captain and 2 others done regarding match fixing, and match fixing an international as well.

This is Club football, so shouldnt have anything to do with the international team IMHO, yes the clubs should get punished heavily, same as any players involved, but taking it out on ALL Italian football just isnt right unless its proven ALL Italian football is corrupt.

Who watches Italian football these days anymore?
Except for Napoli ofcourse, it's the only club bearable to watch.

The Italians will not pull out of a major competition. All this is a huge PR exercisdwe to show a little contrition and humility to the world, at being found out to be a horrible cheating set of twats AGAIN.

They will be there. After all, they quashed a similr ban on star play Paolo Rossi back in 1982, just weeks before the World Cup which they subsequently went on to win and Rossi was the top scorer. Italian sportsmen have no morals or honour when it comes to this kind of thing imo. Cheating is part of their make up.
