..like when we unleashed Arnott, Ellott and Rowell? Or Do we now have even more young lads who are not afraid to play football? I honestly don't know and I just hope that I'm not going to get carried away. Ah what the heck let's just enjoy it while we can
They’re all hungry, very talented, athletic, energetic and without fear. I don’t think they’ll tire but just get better. They play well together and I hope they grow together. We always look to be in the game. Exciting times.
I really am looking forward to seeing how these lads develop There will be ups, there will be downs, but I don't think it's going to be boring
I hope not - we still got relegated that season But yes I hope it is as exciting as it was then the 4-0, 6-1 and 6-0 home games were something else
Really exciting to see how these lads grow and develop. Not to put a downer on things but clubs will be looking at them in January, hopefully Speakman and Harvey have a couple more lined up
It's a good looking side alright. I thought their physicality might have done for us today, but we really do keep going. We'll done again lads.
Think there may have been some extenuating circumstances in connection with that particular relegation. Those 3 games were something else compared with what had gone before. The ball Arnott played through to Bob Lee early in the WBA game was a thing of beauty or at least that's how I remember it
I remember hearing the boro players admitting they were pleased to get away with 0-4 - saying could easily have been 8
Quite right mate. I can never understand it when people say. 'Yes but we'll need to totally rebuild the squad in the Championship/PL'. If some of our supporters were Leicester fans they'd be saying, 'Yes we've won the league but can we really compete in the Champions League?' When those lads you mentioned played we absolutely loved it, still cherish the memories to this day.
My memory of that time was of the absolute joy at banging all those goals in during those 3 games. Totally out of keeping with what had gone before in that season. I dont remember thinking what's going to happen in the next 10 games or whatever it was all about enjoying the moment. Perhaps they were simpler times or I was just younger and dafter, who knows but it's a memory I'll not forget. The only downside to those 3 young lads breaking through at the same time was that whilst they brought a freshness to the football we played we didn't really kick on and put better players around them. I am hoping that this time we do and that we can find more young lads who can play without fear.
We will never have heavy pitches again, our pitch is 60/40 grass and synthetic I read in the summer with a new drainage system
