Now I'm gutted we lost last night. Would have loved to have a go against Mourinho's Chelsea.

I was gutted initially too. But we'd probably have lost it, and it would have meant even more than our half arsed loss to Swindon. Plus Harry would've felt obliged to field a full strength side- bit of a distraction from the league imo.

Let Swindon have the fun of beating them.

The numbers were alphabetical, so it wouldn't have been.

IF cats and dogs had wings, umbrellas would be more popular!
(This could be a long thread!)

A distraction we do not need.

Would have loved for us to have still been in the mix with that Chelsea home draw, but quite a number of our potential promotion rivals (Wigan, Forest, Leeds, Watford, Leicester, Birmingham) still have the distraction of those extra games, while we rest, practice, lick our wounds etc?

The draw for Round 3 of the Capital One Cup is as follows:

    Manchester United v Liverpool
    Sunderland v Peterborough United
West Ham United v Cardiff City
    Manchester City v Wigan Athletic
    Burnley v Nottingham Forest
    Newcastle United v Leeds United
    Southampton v Bristol City
    West Bromwich Albion v Arsenal
    Swindon Town v Chelsea
    Tranmere Rovers v Stoke City
    Watford v Norwich City
    Aston Villa v Tottenham Hotspur
    Hull City v Huddersfield Town
    Leicester City v Derby County
    Birmingham City v Swansea City
    Fulham v Everton

All Round 3 ties are scheduled to be played week commencing 23rd September 2013.

I'm not sure Birmingham will be one of our promotion rivals Kilburn but I get your drift.
