Could forgotten man Pazzini be QPRâs saviour? Giampaolo Pazzini has become peripheral at AC Milan and is looking for a January loan, would Queens Park Rangers be the ideal destination? View image | gettyimages.com Queens Park Rangers have been repeatedly linked with Jermain Defoe, but they may have an alternative in AC Milan striker Giampaolo Pazzini. The 30-year-old has been at the top level in Italy for years, playing for Fiorentina, Sampdoria and both Milan clubs and netting 134 goals in 12 years as a professional. But in recent times Pazzini has been forgotten and has been forced to warm the bench at the San Siro as the likes of Jeremy Menez, Keisuke Honda and Stephan El Shaarawy monopolise the starting spots. Pazzini will finally quit Milan, at least on loan, in January and has been linked by the Italian press to Aston Villa, Burnley and also QPR. The concern is whether Pazzini can rediscover the form that allowed him to score 15 goals in 30 games in 2012-13 - his first season with Milan. A knee injury stopped Pazzini in his tracks a year later and it has appeared that he has lost some of his fluency. But he still remains a quality player and one of the most underrated strikers in Serie A. However, Pazzini would be available on loan and his wages wouldn't be a huge problem. QPR and Milan have a good relationship after the successful loaning of Adel Taarabt to the Rossoneri this time last year and a deal could be easy to reach. While there would be concerns over Pazzini adapting to English football having seen Marco Borriello labour at West Ham last season, he could be just the man QPR need and a low-risk option to boost their squad ahead of a battle against the drop. Could Giampaolo Pazzini fire QPR to safety?
Reminds me of the fellow who used to play for us.... I might have the name wrong here - David Pazanti ??
Why does every list of clubs supposedly interested in a past it/wannaway player ALWAYS end with ... "and QPR"? Every list is different except for those last two words.
