11 in 36 in League One/Two isn't prolific. We could do with someone who'd hit the ground running at Championship level...

I know we don't set our sights very high these days but would quite like someone who could do a little more than just run<whistle>

Given this thread is a result of Ted seeing who is listed as a striker in the Burton squad on Wikipedia, I'm sticking with 'maybe not'.

well as you know lads im a big warnock fan but if jimmy floyde sold austin for ten million and phillips for 5 million
imagine if jimmy floyde brought in a load of brilliant 23 vand 24 year olds from the lowr divisions for all we know
it could be the start of another swansea type team building progame that leaves us stuck in the prem

That was exactly the plan in the summer. We won't get £10m for someone in the last 6 months of his contract.

DONT KNOW ABOUT THAT THE PREM IS WORTH 100 MILLION POUNDS A YEAR THERE MUST BE SEVERAL TEAMS THAT REALISE THAT TEN MILLION FOR FOUR SEASONS OF CHARLIE AUSTIN IS A BARGAIN
dont forget that stoke city paid 12 million for four years of peter couch and he created stability in the stoke team and generally has made them a mid table team for maybe the next thirety years unless of course they bring in les ferdinand
    as there director of football

Ted He won't go to a team that looks like sinking IMO so he can be tapped up in Jan and I fully expect him to leave on a free to a deal that gives him the option to stay at QPR if we go up. What I am saying if he goes to the Saints then it will be on a deal done on paper in Jan.

The days of getting a signing on fee are long gone they work that out into a contract ... No lump sums anymore as if it's dip fed ... Less tax or it can be hidden better

Solly March I bet will get a 10m offer

Austin also needs a good December for us as big questions over his fitness. Fer also

We also have to take in the JFH factor

We could not win again this year and then on here there will be calls for his head

We aren't at the level of any team above us IMO

Don't agree,we just need cohesion and belief.Warnock proved this in just his little time back at the helm, under Ramsey we were rudderless and lacking the belief we could win games.I don't believe we play as attractively as some teams, but I certainly don't believe we're too far behind many teams in this division. There are some decent sides but no-one truly out of the ordinary. There's absolutely no reason why we shouldn't finish in the top six!

Apart from the possibility that we won't get enough points
