    Following article lifted from Sky.

Can understand Mark Hughes' interest at QPR, but would Fulham take the money for their best player? Don't think so. Plus, Dempsey is a fiercely loyal individual and he takes great pride in Fulham success.

Having said all that, if Fulham are willing to entertain bids on a 28 year old player who's contract is up in 18 months, I'm sure there'll be more suitors than just QPR! Certainly MON would be interested, and I think Demspsey would love the man and the club's ambition.

Crazy speculation by Sky or is something about?

Sky Sports understands Queens Park Rangers are amongst a number of clubs monitoring Clint Dempsey's situation at Fulham.

The USA international has emerged as one of the Premier League's top performers this season, with a hat-trick against Newcastle at the weekend his second of the campaign.

Dempsey is the top flight's most prolific midfielder having troubled the scoresheet 15 times already and is not short of admirers.

With 18 months of his current contract to run at Craven Cottage and as yet no talks of extension having been mooted, several suitors have been alerted.

At the head of the queue are QPR, with Mark Hughes well aware of Dempsey's capabilities having managed the 28-year-old during his own stint in charge of the Cottagers.

Martin Jol would be loath to lose a player widely credited to be Fulham's best this season but it remains to be seen whether QPR will test his resolve between now and the close of the transfer window.

He is a fantastic player and vastly underrated. Him and Ruiz are the only players I would take as Zamora is getting on and is he actually better than Bendtner? and Johnson wouldn't fit into MoN's type of football

Dempsey isn't a striker though, he's a support striker/center attacking midfielder like Sessegnon.

    You's need a striker.

Dempsey will only go to a top club if he moves from fulham, I dont see a move to the north east to a currently mid table side will appeal to the man a great deal. No chance of signing him.

He basically plays center attacking mid or center mid, in the hole like Sess does.

Dempsey is not and out and out striker like you need, just saying!

    You should go for Defoe.

That's actually a fair comment, but why would you not go for Dempsey if available? Ridiculous actually.

Give MON Dempsey and let him figure it out. Wouldn't take long I'm guessing.

I'd love Defoe. But he wants to leave to play in Euros coming to Sunderland will worsen his chances

I'd quite like a striker for sure but you say it like we can't score goals?

We are only 3 goals less than your lot and you have half of yours from one source. We have conceded 1 goal less as well.

Our strikeforce isn't that bad and our defence superior.

If there was even a hint of getting Demspey, it would be frankly idiotic not to try.

    A class act.

    Spot on MONsMush.
Even though I'd rather an out and out striker then a LB I would definitely go for Dempsey if available, bit of a no brainer really very good player.

You can't have a discussion here without Cest making a comparison between the teams.
