Not bothered about this one. Fair play to Bath and fair play to Lee Howells, their manager and Rovers fan...
Can't go along with all the 'this one doesn't matter' stuff I'm reading this morning. Our full time squad can't put out a team to beat BATH CITY at home for a good chance of progressing to a Wembley final! Yes, we've scuffed and scraped our way to the top end of the table; but we're unconvincing, scoring too few goals and losing to/drawing with part-time teams. We're in a mess and I don't think our inexperienced manager has the answers. The problem is we're stuck with him as getting rid could make things even worse. PS......anyone know how The Review went? Are we reaping the benefits yet?
We need to get someone in to sort out our tactics. We seem to have a good atmosphere around the club; we have players who are putting in a decent effort; the players we have seem to be as good as most others in this s**thouse league. DC seems to have proved he has good man management skills. But he has to accept that it isn't always possible to be the best at all things required. Being a good boss isn't about doing everything yourself. We need to employ an LL or whatever to improve our final third tactics. Yesterday was the biggest wake up call since that ugly moment last year. and they have been a few nasty nudges already this season. We do need to get this addressed with urgency! Our season could well be decided over the next few games.
Don't let 'em bother you 79. You are seeing the outburst of relief that we got beat by a lower league club. Their lot have been doing it for years
They seemed to be obsessed with are club for some reason blimey they struggled against Crawley yesterday didn't they
But we still won, so that's a feeble reply. Doesn't matter if we scored in the first minute or last as long as the other team don't score, you win.
I'm more interested in the next few weeks. Loads of games which will mix things up a bit and hopefully help us close in on Barnet.
Bath drawn away to Wealdstone FC. Could have been us which is another game we should have won and 1 step closer to wembley!
