Its the only way we can fit Sess, McClean, Dempsey and AJ into the side and have them all playing to there strengths IMO, if we go 4/4/2, 4/2/3/1, 4/5/1 or 4/3/3 then either one of them has to miss out or play pretty much as a central midfielder in a 3/5/2 we could play them to there strengths what you rekon lads? --------------- Mignolet --------------- ------ Brown -- O'Shea -- Cuellar ------ Johnson --Larsson --- Catts -- McClean ------------- Sessegnon -------------- ------- Dempsey ---- Fletcher -------- McClean could play that wing back role no problem at all and I heard Arca talking about AJ yesterday saying he can play that role as well. Obviously it would have to be very flexible and not a rigid formation, when there on the attack would the two wide defenders push wider and Catts drops in or McClean drops to left back with Sess going across to the left? Things like that would have to be worked on at the AoL in training but thats the best way we can fit them all in IMO, maybe even this Strinic mush could slot into the back 3 it just screams out creativity, the back 3 are not the quickest but I would like to see us at least try that out, it seems to be the way a few teams are going, I see Man City and Wigan both use it in the prem and so could we
Haha just replied to your last post on the same team.... Love it...can see the scorelines now.. Sunderland 8-7 Newcastle. Be great to watch,
Aye Poolie, that looks a balanced option to me ! --------------- Mignolet --------------- ------ Brown -- O'Shea -- Cuellar ------ Johnson --Larsson --- Catts -- McClean ------------- Sessegnon -------------- ------- Dempsey ---- Fletcher --------
I think this'd be pretty good: ---------------------Mig------------------------ --O'Shea----Brown----Celluar----Bardsley--- -----AJ-------Sess-----Colback----McClean--- --------------Dempsey------------------------- ----------------------Fletcher------------------ Sess roaming about everywhere and Dempsey being a semi striker (he gets tons of goals). Larsson i think we can afford to make a sub, he was only really good at dead balls, AJ/Dempsey can do that.
my problem with Sess in central midfield is A. Will he want to play there B. Will he do the job of a central midfielder C. IF he does then he is taking away the best part of his game and thats roaming around in that formation Colback has to much work to do, Sess won't want to play as a CM, it will limit his game for to much and we wont see the best out of him and if he does continue to play like we know he can then Colback will be up against 2 or 3 central midfielders and even though our attack is spot on we will get totally overrun in the centre of midfield I would also hate it if that was our back four
Gardner in for Larsson in Poolies team and jobs a guddun. Gardner offers more defensively than Larsson and is still a threat going forward.
