Surely people can stop moaning at Cotterill now and start to have some faith in him, since Feb 1 we have played 8 games - Wx4 - Dx2 - Lx2 - giving us a total of 14 points.

    Our remaining games in March are - V's Peterborough (H) - V's Swindon (H) - V's Colchester (A) - V's Port Vale (H) - V's Rotherham (A) being realistic I can see 6 points total coming and that will do nicely.

    April/May brings V's Preston (H) - V's Walsall (A) - Notts County (H) - Stevenage (A) - Crewe (H) - Crawley (A) we should get at least 8 points from which would give us a total of 52 points and safety.

    Up the City.

I hope/pray/expect/beg that we get a good result at a Peterborough side who are also very up and down at the moment. Imagine, if we go there and nick a win, like Orient, we would be edging away from the pack. There are lots of teams down there who are eating each other. It would be great to be looking down with interest, rather than concern.

The way it's going I reckon 52 could be the bare minimum. I reckon Notts Co and Shrewsbury are doomed and it's perm any other 2 from about 10 clubs

We are not clear from the relegation zone yet but the win at Shrewsbury was just what the doctor ordered. The next 2 games will show if we are made of sterner stuff and the thought of 3 or 4 wins out of 4 was a pipe dream just a few short weeks ago.

I still don't think we have a squad capable of competing in this division and it will be down to SC to show them a way to survive using all his man management skills to their fullest.

A bit premature I know but let's suppose we can stay up this season, what do you think will happen if we do? Will major changes be made in the player, or indeed the managerial, areas of the team or will our somewhat absent owner and his motley board members sit back and let voodoo play it's part? Who knows, but I'm afraid that if the current sad state of affairs is allowed to continue next season many more will abandon ship and give up all hope.

Would you have believed 4 years ago that we would be fighting a relegation battle against the like of Shrewsbury, Stevenage, Crawley and Notts County????

It's a sad state of affairs that a two-game winning streak brings this much joy to the club. For me, the next match is what will prove our credentials for safety.

What Bristol City lacks is consistency. We have a number of great players, but they're all so inconsistent. All it takes is one bad game for the team to suffer, and we're guaranteed that at least two of our players will have a bad game in every game, and their mistakes are what cause us to ship goals.

What SC has managed to do well is to put the pressure on these players. Instead of coddling them, he's put his boot up their ass, and in turn the mistakes are becoming less frequent. Also, by switching things around he's found positions to make players consistently better. I think SOD was a great manager, and his tactics would have worked on a better group of players, but he had far too many excuses for the players.

Next season will be a strange one. We were viewed as automatic promotion favourites this season, but next season the bookies won't be making that mistake twice. I fear that Lansdown will further cut the budget to align with how much the club brings in, so we'll see a few players leave. I'll be fine with that if we start promoting some of the academy youngsters, but I'm still skeptical. I think the only interest we'll get for our players is Baldock. JET has shown this season why League 1 is probably his level, which is a shame because with an attitude change I reckon he could play at the highest level. Cunningham and Kelly are two others that could be on their way out, but we'll see what happens I guess. Personally, I want to see some of the dead wood removed, and at least three or four of our academy hopefuls at least make the bench.

Although not really wanting SC at start, he seems to be doing a passable job! what we need is stability management wise so next season, if we stay up, then I would hope we will be able to watch the continuing development and progress of our academy players, a smattering of "older" professionals coming into the club and a solid start to the season with a push towards the play offs. Not much to ask is it?
Also hope that stadium changes don't affect the payers or p*** off the supporters.
Oh and a trip to Wembley would be nice, even if it's only the freight Rover/dulux/silitbang pound stretcher shield/trophy/cup.
