Quote from Pearson re financial crises. "The Allams for whatever reason have bailed the club out. No one else would of done this. The debt which had to be paid last year was 34 miliion(yes million) which was owed by the previous regime. This had been borrowed by Bartlett on the strength of Premiership money in the future and at massive interest rates. There was no hope of paying this back. Portmouth got away with this by the skin of their teeth because they had assetts( Ground and land) while we had none." This was why Pearson said Administration while Bartlett wanted to trade through. Bartlett actually bought the club approx 4/5 months by the looks of it whilst killing it. If the Allams had not come in it would of been Liquidation not Administration. Bartlett/Duffen also borrowed 10 Million during the promo year. Quite frankly it was gamble, gamble then when all else fails gamble. This does not include the skullduggery that followed Duffen around. Last word. Cheers Allams.
Many thanks to the Allams Family. Thankfully we have we have the very knowledgeable Adam Pearson great on football great on finance. Like him or Loath him, he is a big plus as to why the Allams Bought HULL CITY AFC . Again Adam will get this Club in a very Solid position, along with his Management and Team. For me to hell with the last regime, they must be the worst business men ever to have had there hands on Hull City . BARLETT---DUFFEN ********Brown must have been very blind to dealings, a manager ??????. He's a better gardener
Yeah. Ash probabley offered new contract. NP not looking at new contracts till end of season. This was same for all including Barmby. AP lots of time for Ash contribution and conceeds owes him a lot during first 6 years. However Ash offered 18 months at a good ã that we would not of matched. Only gripe was the transfer request on the Fri before the QPR game. Jimmy Bullard contract totally crazy. When asked why they signed him for contract answer to AP was " well we did not think we would go down. Average for Chapionship is 6k a week. You can not offer 45K a week and not have a religation clause in it. JB was 6 months away from his contract ending at Fulham and was only offered the same for 1 year. Money bags of Hull Duffen offers 2.5 times that and 4.5 years. No insurance available for a guy with constant Knee injuries. Duffen says he would not of come otherwise and as AP said then dont sign him. OH yeah and If a player has to retire due to injury they get 18 months contract pay off. Not in Duffen land we offer him 24 months. Lunacy and no due dillegance.
Training ground not good enough for the club any more. Actively looking for another. They want all first team, youth and acadamy all on the same patch. Allams want it owned by the club and not rented land to build up the assets. Kc ownership very much on the Allams radar but no info available last night other than its very much the plan.
e18 Don't you think McGuire comes across as a bit of an odd sort? He always looks scared to death to me and he wears cheap ill-fitting suits.
Reg just posted this on CI, he in turn nicked it from Tom on Tiger Chat(some very interesting stuff). 1. AP discussed the Kamil Ghilas situation whilst biting his tongue. It was obvious he would like to have said a lot more but was very wary for obvious reasons. 2. Boothferry Park as a training ground is a non-starter. Not big enough. The club needs a place four times bigger than the footprint of BP. They are identifying possible sites now. Will be in the region of 18 months before any move. The Cottingham site will then be sold. Adam gave me assurances after the meeting that the development of the new site will be by local contractors, architects, etc. He did say that the plans for Melton site cost over ã100,000. He was splitting blood over over this. 3. The Allam's have brought their own auditors into the club and are still finding skeletons in various cupboards. 4. AP said he had to resign from the board under Bartlett last year because he felt that the club was insolvent. He was blunt saying that if The Allam's had not come in the club would have gone into administration and because we had no assets, i.e. the club did not own the ground, and then would be liquidated. He still cannot believe what the Allam's have done. 5. MM said that by April the club will be trading in the black. At present he said the Allam's are still putting money into the club every month. He said the long term plan is to buy the stadium, and then expand it. There will be no reductions in ticket prices till then. Pretty obvious when you think about it. At the moment he is looking at rationalising the pricing structure, i.e. there are lots of different prices for the same areas of the stadium. He thinks there will be no price increase, and probably some reductions. The season ticket renewal form is to be revamped. 6. MM said the 1904 magazine is a work in progress and will be changing in future issues. 7. AP strongly insinuated that they now have a more harmonious dressing room from a few weeks ago. He said Bullard appears happier back down south at Ipswich. He said that he hopes Bullard plays well so that a premiership club comes in for him in the summer. There was no mention of him playing for us in the future. Mind you there was no mention of him not playing for us again. Make of it what you will. On the question of Bullard's transfer he said that he would not have signed him on the terms he is on. His salary at Fulham were about ã20,000 a week. There was no relegation clause allowing for salary reduction. This one point alone would have stopped AP signing him. 8. On Ash AP said he would have probably got another contract in the summer but he was standing by NP who did not want any discussions before then. He said there was a case for Ash being treated differently but it would have been hard on Nick Barmby. He said he felt Ash had to do what he felt was right for himself and hopes the fans would give Ash a good reception on Saturday. Footnote to this AP did say if Ash had been offered a new contract Ash may not have been happy with the new terms. 9. Nigel Pearson is evidently quite a shy person in public. AP when asked if NP would come to a branch meeting. He said that he would do a fans forum first. The players think NP is the best thing sliced bread. It was pretty obvious NP is the kind of man AP can work with. In a not so subtle comparison with other managers (PB) he said NP gets on with his job and does not get distracted with other things. Also said NP is very funny when you get to know him. 10. On the subject of NP coming to the AP said he got a telephone call from Steve Walsh's brother saying that NP might be on the move. AP rang Milan Mandaric who was on safari in South Africa and asked if he could approach NP. Mandaric said yes. When NP heard this he immediately wanted to leave to come to City as he felt unwanted at Leicester City. 11. Mark said the club were in discussions with the council about improving the access from the flyover and West Park, especially the street lighting. 12. On the question of the concourse and the bars. MM and AP said that all club's revenue streams under the previous regime were mortgaged to keep the club afloat. With respect of the caterers they have been hamstrung in not been able to get discounts on items, especially the alcohol because the club did all that and took it all. This discount was, as with everything used to keep the club afloat. The club are in discussions with the caterers about this problem. MM will be stalking the concourses on saturday looking at the overcrowding on the concourses. The club was also borrowing against future premier league parachute payments and paying an horrific rate of interest to boot. 13. The club will be moving the away supporters to the north west corner with an overspill area for large away supporters attendances in the upper west. At the moment there are discussions ongoing because of H+S and logistic problems in doing this. He did not see why the home supporters should be denied sitting in a prime location behind a goal. 14. Daniel Ayala. The club have received an apology from Liverpool over the comments Woy Hodgson made. Ayala pulled a hamstring and immediately went back to Liverpool's Meanwood facility for treatment. They treated him and then he came back to City where 20 minutes into his first training session back he felt his hamstring go again. He does not know where Woy got the idea from about Ayala. Ayala is distraught about having to go Derby but there is one person who did not want him to come back (I think it was Peter Brukner the Head of Sports Medicine but don not quote me on that). Ayala had leased a house for the full season in Hull and wanted to come back. AP said was important to keep on good terms with the big clubs because of the opportunity of loans. 15. Loans. AP said that when you loan players from clubs like ManU and Liverpool you just pay the players salary. If you loan them for a second season you pay a loan fee. Cameron Stewart transfer has add-ons. ã100,000 if he plays in the premiership and 15% of any future transfer fee. The club came close to securing Corry Evans fulltime but ManU want another month to look at him. 16. Last point I can remember was the question of Gerrard. They would like to sign him but it depends on whether Cardiff get promotion or not.If they go up there is little chance because of the increased contract he would get automatically with Cardiff. Cannot think of anything elso though as soon as I press the send button I will remember something else. Tom Lee.
found this on HullCityMad anthony gerrard Following last nights gathering in Cott it would appear we are in pole position to sign him should Cardiff not be promoted. Also transpires that Ayala returned from Melwood and broke down 20 minutes into a training session so Liverpool have written letters of apology on behalf of the departed Hodgson and City are currently looking at sites with freehold land for the new training ground and academy although this is unlikely to be Boothferry Park as it was deemed too small. All in all an interesting evening. Adam Pearson said last night that Ayala himself is unhappy with how things have panned out and his favoured destination was the KC so much so the player had rented accomodation in the area with a view to doing a full season. Not too sure myself why he is unable to return, think it's just the stance Liverpool are currently taking, however I got the impression we would be back in for him close season were he to be made available.
Quite curious this Ayala stuff then, wondering if we will still be lining him up on a loan until the end of the season - i'm sure when derby were linked it was with a view to a permanent as well so there may be a bit of scope for something further down the line if that is the case. For what its worth I also think there's a bit of truth in the Hobbs stuff. Whether its just lining up possibilities for both the short-term and the long-term if Gerrard doesn't stay or not I suppose time will tell.
I just posted on City Independent awaiting a reply. As yet to no avail. Didnt Ayala turn down Deby at the last minute on deadline day?
Think they said last night he was still injured therefore for time been scuppering derbys plans. ie hope yet.
Think it might of been his first forum and it was a warm in there. However your comments made me smile.
OLM no 1 was my question. He did indeed look like he was fuming inside. Quoted as saying that he could not discuss this at a forum. Tip of the Agent iceberg with in my opinion Paul Duffen as the Captain of the Titanic.
