Im not to over excited by the appointment of Steve Cotterill again I think the board at Bristol City have gone for the safe and cheap option and having read what the forest fans have been saying I have not changed my mind, still lets give him a chance and hope that I am proved wrong.
I have never felt so disillusioned following Bristol City FC, and I've seen some crap here in my time...
hey were on the same wave length today, very very poor appointment by the powers that be- we just have to hope and prey that all the Forest fans are wrong about him
Ive seen some crap as well in my time and as much as I am not at all excited about Cotterills appointment Im going to get behind him and give him a chance, only time will tell.
Ha Ha. Very good. I cannot believe I didn't spot that one. Yes, he isn't even the best Manager in our family
I'm sceptical, but naturally Cotterill will have my full backing. Personality-wise, he seems to be a World apart from SOD (which I'm sure will please many), so perhaps he will provide a metaphorical kick up the backside that was lacking before. From the outside, it seemed as though the players did really quite like SOD, though with that maybe came a certain amount of comfort and complacency. One concern I have (and it may very well be entirely unfair), is that Cotterill, (ahem) doesn't come across as the brightest of fellows, though that's a face-value impression, and frankly, if he's knowledgeable about football than that's all he needs.
"One concern I have (and it may very well be entirely unfair), is that Cotterill, (ahem) doesn't come across as the brightest of fellows, though that's a face-value impression" We are not talking Brian Cox here. Football people are not required to have a PHD in mathematics. Harry Redknapp is no nuclear physicist but he is an excellent coach of sportsmen, which is what we require. To hell with his after-dinner talk skills, its his pre-match hell-raising that matters and can he throw a good tea-cup
