Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cotterill said.....: "If it hadn't been for David James we might have won by three of four goals. I won't say what I called him as we were leaving the field. He has been magnificent today. Marcus Tudgay could easily be walking away with the match ball for scoring a hat-trick. We have failed to score again, but not through poor finishing. And there were a lot of positives for us." Nice spin for the Nottingham public - sadly, a complete work of fiction which as the saying goes, "bears no resemblance to any football match both real or fictional" I did have a lot of time for the bloke but not since I've heard some of the stuff he's come out with since he went to Forest. They were comfortably the worst side I have seen at the Gate for a long time and if we had played like we did against Southampton, it would have been a cricket score....
Just goes to show what a great GK David James still is and what a load of crap Cotterill talks but he has got a reputation for misdirected waffle...
Yes indeed and in contrast to last week, I was in no way denigrating DJ who did earn his corn with an sound performance today...
he said the tudgay could of had a hat trick???? how on earth did he get to that conclusion, also he said thay could of one by 3 or 4 goals???? your right, what planets this guy living on, you could tell from the first 20 minutes that the game was heading for 0-0, the only thing that got everyone up in the first half was woolfords shot, the only save i can remember jamo saving that was worth mentioning was the header, if anything there keeper saved them today, marv shot and albs follow up was the best part of the game... but overall it was a shocking performance and it looked like both teams was to scared to make a mistake, we just have to go to Coventry and get a win, 3 points, go above millwall and not look back, we have to beat coventry because there no way we will get anything at Southampton
shiny i think 6 points from next two games will be ours if we play the way we can . yeah i do worry about cotterill he seems to come off as a crazy guy who can see no wrong in his team
He's right? Tudgay's header which was a wonder save, the one where he got down to save first of all from a corner then Tudgay hit the rebound straight at him when he was on the floor, and the cross that he had to get across and tip wide when it was going in the top corner. Could have easily been three down if not for DJ. And, unlike what Shiny says, Elliot's stupid 30 yard shot was typical of the game as he had Maynard completely free to play in 1 on 1 down the left but instead he chose to shoot. Cisse is simply better than him.
