City manager wary of Bradford Cityâs aerial threat. please log in to view this image Steve Cotterill has warned of Bradford Cityâs expertise in the air as they visit Ashton Gate tonight (7.45pm) aiming to end Cityâs super start to the 2014/15 campaign. The City boss says Phil Parkinson will have his Bantams team well drilled against his table-topping side. Bradford will be without their skipper Stephen Darby, dismissed in the most recent 2-0 home defeat to Sheffield United, but Cotterill insists they have plenty of good players in their arsenal. He told Bristol City Player: âWe saw some of Bradfordâs game (televised against Sheffield United) on the bus home from Coventry on Saturday. âI know Phil Parkinson and Steve Parkin will have the team well organised. âTheyâll work hard on set-pieces, both attacking and defending. Itâs a big part of their game. âWe know they will be dangerous and itâs about staying switched on in both boxes.â City, meanwhile, could set a club record for the longest unbeaten start to a campaign, having already equalled the previous tally of 13 set by the third tier title-winning side of 1954/55. Cotterill said: âThe confidence and spirit has grown since pre-season. This group arenât just team-mates, theyâre friends as well. They go to war for each other. âFor such a young group, theyâve remained focused. Theyâve been together for a few months, but you look at them in training and think theyâve been together for years.â Korey Smith has recovered from a hamstring injury, meaning Cotterill has a fully-fit squad to choose from.
