Unsurprisingly Costa was banned by the FA and misses the City game. Personally I think he deserved the ban. But I also think the FA cannot be seen to be impartial unless and until the make up of the FA is different. Arsenal have had too much say for too long for instance, and wouldn't go out of their way to aid Chelsea, City, Utd or Spurs , and why would they? The charge and sentencing were rushed as well , all a bit smelly to me. There needs to be a better way. However, if Costa had not been so dumb, he wouldn't put himself or his Club in the position he has. Anyone got any news on Fabregas?? Be an interesting game if they both miss out. The bloke bought to score goals and the bloke bought to set them up both missing. Hope the team step up and go for the win, and pleeease don't sit back and bring on Mikel if we happen to go 1-0 up! Every time we do that we draw or lose. If it's going to be a draw or a loss, go down fighting.
We did the double over them last season without Fabregas and Costa. City are also without Toure, a huge loss to them. It'll be a tough game for both sides so should be interesting.
I don't see Costa as "that" big a loss for ye, Hazard or Matic now those would be big losses. You were better when Fabergas went off in that game v us at the Bridge.
Agree. Matic and Hazard are huge players for us. We couldn't replace them. We have enough to replace Costa. I would like to see Remy start. Fabregas is a big player for us but we can cope without him. Wouldn't like to see him beside Matic either.
City aren't exactly lighting up the stage with their football atm either. I see at least a draw for you lot
