I think that it is worth mentioning the lad, he was brilliant today. Never stopped working, played some great passes, but also kept it simple when it was needed.

I wasn't too keen on him when he first started playing for us, but I have to hold my hands up, he has turned into brilliant player for us.

He did play well today and seems to be more confident on the ball now to add to his workrate.
I hope we can now put the "Chester isnt the same since Pearson left"comments to bed now he was top quality today.

NB gave him a special mention in his after game interview, obviously also caught his eye today as well.

That boy has got bags of skill....Second half today, brought down a high ball with ease and sprayed out a lovely pass to Dose in one movement..Almost Zidane like. Just needs to work on his concentration a tad. Very good player..

The fella is just an all-round good footballer.

The lad I went with today hasn't be this season and only went once last season due to moving abroad.

He knows his football and loves City . All he banged on about all afternoon was how good Evans was.

    I just agreed.

A player that is starting to shine.

Agree fully. I never disliked him but wondered what he actually brought to the team, he seemed to just be there and be neither a tackler, playmaker or anything. Now he's showing that he's got a bit of everything. He was my MotM, and I'm pleasantly surprised to see others agreeing.

I've always liked Evans, but it's good to see he's growing into the role of holding midfielder and his partnership with McKenna is getting better all the time, he was fantastic in the second half yesterday.

Though I'd have still given the MotM to Chester, who was pretty much faultless yesterday.

Chester was great, but look at the first one-on-one that Sinclair had after about a minute. Chester completely mistimed his run to meet the ball in the air and missed the ball completely, that's the only reason I didn't give him it. And Evans being awesome.

I wouldn't have had Evans anywhere near MOTM, 2nd half was good but first half him and McKenna might as well have not been there the way the defence was exposed to attacks.

Very impressive yesterday, his best game for us. Along with Mckenna is silencing his critics.
