Couple of weeks back isaw someone who retired from work about 9 months before i did and we both feel almost guilty in that it will have little financial effect on us as we both own , no mortgage , our homes and can live comfortably on our occupational pensions which are safe .So grateful I'm in a secure job. We're about to see millions become unemployed![]()
Thursday?
Pubs will be busy tonight.
Is it ****.
I find it completely bemusing the amount of you who think this is a political situation. It's not, it's a worldwide pandemic that the whole world is trying to get a grip with, and largely failing.
It's heartening to know labour would have had it all sorted though. Next election, I'll take that into consideration.
Could you have retrospectively sorted out a world wide pandemic? Tick.
You don’t think the government has ****ed this up, massively?
£12 billion on a Track & Trace system that’s doesn’t work, on the simplest level? Confusing and contradictory messages sent out day after day? Taking the decision last month not to have a two week circuit break, and now we’re looking at a month?
Seriously, you don’t think this government has been an unmitigated disaster?
Brexit still to come btw. Not political. ****sakes.

Did you miss the bit before when I said they had?
Read back.
The truth is, so would Labour. Anyone thinks otherwise is a gullible mug.
****ing hell, you could put a garden gnome in Downing Street and he’d do a better job than this Boris clown.

Not sure pensions will be a thing by the time I’m old enough for one, assuming I get there.
Labour, Corbyn or Starmer, would no doubt have made plenty of mistakes and been hammered ten times more for them than the lot pretending to be in charge have. They’d have taken it seriously in the first place though rather than declaring it an opportunity to get one up on mainland Europe.
Maybe my opinion is a gullible one though and no one could have possibly done more than Johnson’s government.
If the Tories weren't in right now, it would mean that Corbyn had got in.
Do I honestly think he'd have managed this situation? No, I don't.
Good for you if you do, it can't be proved or disproved either way.
I just find Starmer to be a smarmy **** who knows fine well he can't be found accountable for anything he says. Nice situation for him.
Waiting for Boris to come outside Downing Street reminds me of the time I saw the Happy Mondays at Brixton Academy. They were over 2 hours late coming onstage, allegedly due to trying to wake Sean Ryder from a drug induced coma.
I'm passing the time, watching the Hammers stick one over on Liverpool...that will probably last as long as a Boris decision.
Dom has already leaked it anyway, so I’m sticking with the footie.I'm passing the time, watching the Hammers stick one over on Liverpool...that will probably last as long as a Boris decision.
