Large sections of the human population really are ****ing stupid.
yeah, call them ****ing stupid...that'll win em over.
One time, this guy called me ****ing stupid and I thought to myself, "Ya know what? He's right, imma listen to this guy from now on....."

and yes, I am patently aware that it may be a fact that a lot of people are ****ing stupid, but it really doesn't help to improve things.
So unless you want a lot of people to go on being ****ing stupid, you cant keep telling them they are ****ing stupid, because that's stupid!!

<laugh>

More reformation than break up.
The NHS does have a lot of issues, and not just lack of funding.
It is too inefficient, there are too many middle managers who do not need to be there and cannot justify their own salary.
And not enough of the money pumped in to the NHS is spent on frontline healthcare staff like Paramedics and nurses.
When you hear dumb **** like every ward having a "pillow manager" and **** like that, it makes your blood boil.
Yes the NHS needs more funds, everything does, Austerity has been ****ing us over, but the answer to the NHS' problems aren't just always, "Throw more money at it!", it needs streamlining and re arranging by someone who knows their ****.

Dont get me wrong, even in its ****ed up state, i'd still take the NHS over an American style Insurance system, which is ****ed and a complete rip off and only worth it if you are a millionaire. But still, the NHS needs looking at properly, there is plenty of fat that could be trimmed.
This ^ <ok>

You're general point is bang on imo, yes the NHS needs investment but there in itself won't solve a lot of the issues.

Not sure I've ever heard of pillow managers though ffs, think someone might be having you on there <laugh>

Theres an upcoming election !
There is an opportunity for people to voice there disapproval .
I fear they wont as a tax cut now and another nearer the time will hold a lot more sway than thinking about their own health and mortality !

Trump couldn't start a war with Iran earlier this year, so plan B a good old panic about a Pandemic could be just what he needs.

£600 million a year is spent on private consultancy firms and it has zero impact of any benefit to the system .
It's a massive gravy train with private healthcare companies and lobby groups constantly gnawing away at politicians .
They are all based within a mile of Parliament !

The NHS is an operation of gigantic proportions, and there are so many mistakes that are made, outsourcing **** that shouldn't be outsourced, not outsourcing **** that SHOULD be outsourced, outsourcing to the wrong firms, bloated management structures with too many money men and not enough focus on front line care, over worked staff, under (or improperly) trained staff, cleanliness.
Some of these can be rectified or improved significantly with increased funding, but that is only the start. It needs a proper shake up.

Exactly, what a massive waste of cash.
Why pump more money in to a system if it is just going to go into the "consultancy firms" pockets?
It definitely needs more money, but lets make sure its spent efficiently so we are not throwing money away to make some other ****s rich, instead of improving the medical care for our sick.

Only it’s not true that every ward anywhere has a pillow manager, but carry on.

I don't know anything about this, but "pillow manager" could be a derogatory name for someone whose job is to make sure all patients are in safe and legal conditions. The same people who would whine about this job as "inefficient" would then say it's fine to have 50 "claims adjusters" whose job is to find loopholes to screw people out of service.

The simple facts are, that back in 2010 patient satisfaction levels were at a record high.

Then came a decade of Tory austerity and now we’ve got bollocks tales about pillow managers on every ward eating away at the cash. I’ve got a an NHS crutch in a cupboard, oh the wastage, that’s the issue, wastage, I tell ya!

Nothing but a softening up of the public, trying to lead them to the conclusion that the NHS somehow needs private sector ‘efficiency’. Gaslighting and grooming on a national scale.

You're right, I'm sure its all fine, just needs more cash.
More consulting, and people to consult the consultants......for sure.

Unfortunately Bod they use the old adage !!!
The NHS is broken to justify ever larger involvement from the private sector .
Labour where the same whilst in power !
That Dispatches programme a couple of months back showed exactly what is going on and " surprise " surprise profiteering is at the heart of the matter .
