That's a difficult one Raving. I've been doing the same except the social events part. Not that I've been going mad or anything, I've been meeting my mates at the five o'clock on a Friday club for a few beers for a few months. We've all had our vaccinations and the others are all older than me. We enjoy our social time together and have come to the conclusion that this new variant might be the one that gives us natural immunity. It spreads rapidly but seems to be a milder variant than delta. None of us ( six ) have had any adverse symptoms so far.

I hope all is good with yours and you don't develop any worse symptoms.

Is there a passport for natural immunity or will you still be made to get however many jabs are deemed necessary to go places

I think the Government have denied the natural immunity route this week. ( It's in some document apparently by Savid Jabhead. ) I'll seriously have to look into the fourth vaccine. I've not gone abroad or plan to for over two years, while this is in place, I'll opt out of going places too. I have a nice house and family, and stay put if I have to. I'm not going along with this bollocks. Been to a few sporting events in the meantime , so I can't see why open-air activity has to cease.

on a plus side; isolation is now only 7 days...if you record 2 negative LFT in the mean time.

Still ruins Christmas I know

Ah, but the vaccine, and particularly the booster, is supposed to be our path to restored freedoms, isn’t it?

Or is that the next jab or the one after that? Or is it the next lot of restrictions coming in the New Year? How easy it is to forget.

Hopefully you have a negative PCR or at worst mild symptoms Raving. Keep your chin up and hopefully it doesn’t spoil your Christmas plans too much.
