Nothing personal on you Steels but this is what pisses me off about the anti vaxers, they may have their half baked dozy ideas about the entire process, but they don't give a moments thought to any other poor bugger even if their relations. And then when they catch it, they expect the NHS to treat them ffs. I've said for ages that it's gonna be impossible to forcibly get everyone to get jabbed, but it's not impossible for the NHS to refuse them treatment for the virus . If these maggots refuse to get jabbed, then why should we and the NHS have to pick up the bill for their treatment. The Government needs to grow a pair and enforce this immediately, its the only way this is ever going to end !To counter that, my business partners brother and sister-in-law are both anti-vaxers...and have now contracted the virus, infecting his 80+ year old parents who, although triple dosed, are now quite ill. The sister-in-law has been rushed to hospital and is now ventilated, the brother is very ill too.
Your brother may have recently had Covid, been asymptomatic so not known, which would explain the high antibody count.

I cant agree with that Steels. The NHS should not discriminate. Where do you draw the line at. People have the right to choose not to inject their body with a vaccine where the long term effects are relatively unknown. Im no anti vaxxer but i certainly dont have anything against someone choosing not to have it. Covid as you have unfortunately found out has some serious effects, others will argue that it was nothing more than a cold for them, some even having no symptoms at all. I dont know if ive had covid, i certainly havent felt unwell if i have. If i had got it and it was no worse than a cold then i wouldnt be arsed about then having a vaccine. You are just as likely to catch covid from someone who is vaccinated. The illusion that a vaccine passport will stop infection will, in my humble opinion only lead people in to a false sense of security. Now im more than welcome to be challenged, proven totally wrong, even made to look like a twat over my thoughts but i dont understand why someone who is vacinated should get preferential treatment over someone who isnt.Totally agree with you, had similar discussions with the Mrs. I have little to no sympathy for anti-vaxxers who then contract the virus, and to have them then infect others is bordering on criminal (not that I'd advocate that scenario, and it would be impossible to prove in a court of law). Refusing treatment would be an option

Whilst we are there, anyone who plays sport shouldnt get nhs treatment. If you are willing to do dangerous activities and get injured after such risks, tough titties. Also anyone who get injured after having alcohol as they are willing impairing their stability.
Oh and anyone who is obese and is not regularly exercising. Private treatment only for deliverately leading a poor lifestyle.
(I agree with bob evidently)
I see that a lot of people posting on this thread would be compatible with undertaking 'The Asch Conformity Experiment.'

Wonder how long it will be before we follow suit ?
Now wouldnt that be a thing, no more injuries. Unfortunately this doesnt exist, just like a vaccine to stop you catching covid doesnt exist. It might reduce the need for hospital care by a certain percentage, granted. I wonder how many people out there, unvacinated havent needed hospital care. I know quite a few personally. So what if all of those things you've posted above were offered the chance of a vaccine that would almost certainly prevent them from happening and you still refused it ? Then yeah in my eyes you wouldn't deserve treatment. Obviously playing sports come with the risk of injury and of course you deserve treatment if you need it. But if someone came up with a jab that prevented you from getting any injury and you refused to have it, do you still think that person deserves to be treated over someone who has had their life saving cancer treatment cancelled ? I'm sorry but all these anti vaxers need to get real ffs, there's a woman on a show tomorrow night who was an anti vaxer in the States. She caught Covid in March and infected her 74 year old mother who she was living with. The mother died 6 weeks later in hospital on a ventilator. The daughter now racked with remorse, wishes she'd have listened to the scientists and is now in the streets every day trying to convince others to get jabbed ! It will be an enlightening show

Not quite getting this argument Bob.
Certain people, for reasons we don't fully understand ( genetics?) get Covid and are asymptomatic or mildly ill.... ( thus will be true whether they have vaccine or not).
Some people get ill..
Some people get very ill and can die. It is proven ( by the hospital figures and deaths over the last 3 months) that the vaccine prevents a lot of people being hospitalisated or dying.
We cannot yet predict who will get ill and who won't.
Until we can....the vaccine is probably saving 800 people a day.
( where do you get that figure from Beth... I hear you say. Well at the height of the second wave, when we had equal/ slightly less infections per day we had 1000 deaths a day...now we have 120)
An added problem for the NHS is that some of these people instead of dying are recovering in hospital....making our NHS even more stressed.
Please just get vaccinated and boosted...because you cannot tell if you or your loved ones will be the ones who do actually get ill
