the sad thing about Bournemouth is that the BBC interviewed people that have travelled from Milton Keynes (thinking it would be quiet), Peterborough, Birmingham and Hertfordshire. These will be the same people that were supporting Attenborough's programme abut plastic pollution in the seas and oceans and leave all their rubbish behind to be claimed by the sea. The Council have not yet opened all toilets so the locals will have their gardens urinated on by these idiots. Over 500 parking tickets were issued, people even camped out overnight.
I only hope that if these visitor dickheads have Covid, then they take it back with them

Additionally, when the local councillors, and employees are cleaning up after these morons, they are spat at and verbally abused.

Up here, we're not allowed to travel more than 5 miles for leisure purposes. The lax attitude to lockdown in England, and mixed messages coming from Westminster has led to this.

The second wave is inevitable, but I wouldn't expect many people, on yesterdays showing, to give a **** anymore.

You have to wonder if people are beginning to enjoy the lockdown and are ignorant of the pain and death caused as well as the financial impact ahead for this country - or prefer to put their own single day of leisure ahead of their safety, and those around them.

The furlough scheme really is a double edged sword - it has given millions the income support they need, but undoubtedly some are treating it as paid holiday and doing whatever they like

There will be less enthusiasm - and money - for days out once the scheme is wound down and companies start having to make decisions on the size of their workforces

With everyone staying home, businesses went bad because of it and then for the protesters to not give a rat's ass ...................... is it any wonder why decent citizens throw their arms in the air and wonder why bother at all.

Some people can only see their cause and show no consideration for anyone else.
l lay the blame solely at the protestors for the second wave.
Rent-A-Crowd really outdid themselves in attacking anything and everything for the sake of their own agenda.
The death of a man was irrelevant to what they wanted to achieve.
It's happening all round the world, city after city.
The police were totally wrong to do what they did to the American Floyd but protestors were hell bent on disrespecting their fellow citizens .............. and now, we have to pay for it all over again.

I really feel for the mum & dad businesses that won't survive.
The repercussions will be severe.

IF this had happened, I would suggest that very few would have started going out to the beaches. The BLM protests haven't helped, regardless of whether you feel the protests and vandalism are justified. Mass gatherings does not equal social distancing. Sadly, the police are now being targeted in London trying to restore order.

I think we've seen enough evidence this week that under absolutely no circumstances can we be trusted. Opening pubs with our current mentality is stunningly irresponsible. Obviously our government have disappeared entirely now that the Sage stats show new infections and deaths starting to level off, not long until they start trending up again.

The first minister worse a face mask during a visit to a shop in Edinburgh ahead of its reopening on Monday
Scotland is "not far away" from eliminating coronavirus, the country's first minister has predicted.

Nicola Sturgeon was speaking as she announced there have been no deaths from confirmed cases of the virus in the past 24 hours.

This was the first time the figure had been zero on a weekday since 20 March.

Ms Sturgeon said the statistic was "really significant" and a further sign of the progress that has been made.

But she again warned against complacency because the virus "has not yet gone away" and is "on the rise again" in some other countries.

Ms Sturgeon said: "Suppressing the virus, driving it as far as we can towards total elimination, has to be our overriding priority.

"We have made exceptional progress over the past three months, and the figures today highlight that.

"But it has only been possible because the vast majority of us have stuck to the rules."

To be honest I can only do one job at a time and most of the alcohol/fight jobs are pretty easy but can be a bit messy with the blood and vomit going around....just means it’ll be going from job to job

Sorry, but that is a convenient excuse. Before Cummings was exposed we had the MSM on and on about when the lockdown would be eased, incoherent responses from the government suggesting it would be eased and everyone jumped the gun on VE Day. From then on the media has been driving the agenda ahead of every announcement and the Cummings excuse is added to make it OK.

The inherent stupidity of the general public has been in evidence any time there is good weather/Bank Holidays or weekends plus all the demos with BLM, the vast majority would have done it regardless of Cummings and will from now on. If there's a 2nd wave they have only themselves to blame...

Think it’s fair to say though the Cummings affair was a huge catalyst for the breakdown of discipline. There was remarkable adherence from 99% of people before. That doesn’t excuse a group of fat chavs loading the Vectra up and driving down to Bournemouth but it has to be a factor.
