Calm yourself down mate. You dont have to watch any 'lefty news' or read any 'lefty' paper to watch on national tv people lying. It's there for all to witness with their own eyes. Sometimes it's easy to switch off and believe it didnt happen but unfortunately the evidence is always there.
No need to clam down mate, just fed up with the crap being posted, mostly by individuals who don’t actually know what ****ing day it is never mind what the truth is.
All coming out now that the European countries body count could actually be miles more than ours because it turns out most of them have been counting only certain criteria whereas we for the last few weeks have been counting all deaths that are related to corona virus including the underlying ones, for example in Spain and France they still don’t count care home deaths or haven’t been, and maybe our partial lockdown will prove to be the way to go, ie keep the economy ticking over but try to protect the vulnerable etc.
People can’t have it both ways, protect everybody and let the country go to s*it or try and balance it out, and **** the people but save the economy.
People make mistakes but I’d love the people on here continually bashing boris to go do his job at the moment, most wouldn’t have a ****ing scooby what it entails never mind do it, I personally think Boris is doing the best he or anybody who might be PM in very trying circumstances, and funnily over 68% of people surveyed said he’s doing ok.

****ing hell if this is him doing his best your hate to see him phoning it in.
Blind loyalty. Theres nothing better. Proven to be a blatant liar and he still can do no wrong despite doing literally **** all in the last half a year. But you're correct, most people couldn't do his job, mainly due to having morals.

Nothing today mate. There is s call for some fruit and veg pickers put out by the government if you're interested.
bob, thought I would put a bit of light heart in to this post, just to make a change from **** and you #### ####.
Anyway just found out as Type 1 diabetic and 65 years old that I am going to be looked after, nice to know. Still wont get my state pension until I'm nearly 66.

I can’t say I’ve been tracking other countries as avidly as Turkish in recent days but I’d be surprised if any other leader in a Covid hotspot, warmspot or tepidspot has been so invisible in recent weeks.

Luckily, we threw a protective ring around our care homes.....................

I did say I would not post on this thread anymore (I have broken my own rules) but felt I should just mention something.
Turkish I am not sure about France and Care home figures but I know for a fact (as I have read in a French paper) that they are not counting deaths at home. However, you are correct about Italy and Spain who don't count all deaths from care homes.

Although we didn't add at the start we are now counting all deaths. There is still a question over COVID and deaths though.

We put COVID down on the death certificate even if not proven.
From ONS:
COVID 19 was mentioned on the death certificates even if only suspected

Here is an example. I also read that a man was terminally ill and only had a few days to live, died and they put the cause of death as COVID?

The good news is that Mrs. Ellers who is working for the government recording deaths was told yesterday that her services are not needed anymore because of the falling figures.

Have we started counting those not tested? I missed that.

Ate you sure about spain? I thought they werent counting untested care home deaths just the same as us. I may be mistaken

Paying the ultimate price: Boris Johnson reveals 312 NHS and care workers have now died of coronavirus - including hundreds from overseas - but insists it is 'right' migrant staff pay £624 for health care amid huge backlash over the levy

I had some sympathy for Johnson to begin with because like you say no PM has had to deal with anything like this before. But frankly his performance is indefensible in my book, his absence from any sort of public address recenyly is appalling, the rolling roster of unheard of squad members we get at the daily brief now is embarrassing. To a degree I think all governments lie or mask the truth from the public at times but this government would get more respect from me if they didn't lie and get defensive like petulant children when they have been caught out. Whether its testing numbers, PPE, Care homes whatever fess up and promise to do better is better than constantly bullshitting us. They have made monstrous cock ups and admit to none of them.
