Just a small point...….a large number of care homes are privately operated businesses and are run for profit, they are not under the NHS umbrella except for health guidelines...….the owner is responsible for obtaining the relevant PPE and it was down to the NHS hospital that patients were sent back to care homes with the undetected Virus, they should never have been sent back until their test results were known...…..

We've had exactly the same scenario, patients from care homes with no COVID cases admitted to hospital for other medical procedures returned to care home after being tested but before results known, subsequently found to be carrying virus and spreading virus in care home...….

Some of these things that are happening are not the Governments fault but those of the hospital administrators...….

Just saying......
In England hospitals were ordered to discharge 15,000 patients either to home or care homes by the end of March, to make space for new virus patients. They were not required to have continuing health needs assessments prior to discharge, and many were told not to contact their GP. Nothing to do with administrators, government policy.

Fair point. If we don't want to be misled about the merits of herd immunity, it really is time some people stopped behaving like a herd. Of sheep and actually used their own brains rather than waiting for Bojo the sheepdog to tell them where to go. Or not. He doesn't know. He relies on the science. But it seems there are conflicting whistles. People and employers should decide for themselves. Apparently it's our superior intelligence that differentiates us from other animals. You do have to wonder sometimes. Well actually all the time.

My clients have on the whole done precisely what they should. Thought about it as soon as furlough started- used the stoppage as an ideal opportunity to clean the place down, engage with their H&S consultants and union safety reps put markings and lines down on the floor for safe distancing, stagger working times enforce the 2 metre rule in car parks and so on. They started to reopen on a reduced capacity within a couple of weeks without any problems at all. They are not politicians but they have used their brains.

I advised on this first over 5 weeks ago with an employer that was ahead of the game and had already done much of what i suggested and a fair few things I hadn't even considered. If Bojo wants some advice or someone to go into the next press briefing with him, I'd be happy to do so. But then I don't suffer fools gladly. Some on here say they have noticed that about me from my previous posts.

The game changer will be antibody or antigen tests. a saliva test that gives you results within 15 minutes would be a godsend for the aviation and hospitality industries for starters. The vaccine may never arrive so we will need other ways to move on with this disease.
dosent one of the airlines already have a test that can be completed in 10 minutes

but if you were a manager of a care home wouldn't you question why you are getting someone back from hospital? and their medical issues incase their conditon was transferable?

Good to see the BMA back the teachers union. Hancock said they wouldnt send Kids back to school until its safe to do so and it is safe. He obviously doesnt have any evidence to prove that. Then one of our experts, the horrible Harries says in a school of 100 the likelihood of anyone having the disease is very small. Ffs woman your supposed to be an expert. Even if 1 child had it they could infect the other 99 and all the parents, teachers other family members!! No wonder we are where we are. What a ****ing circus!!!

It’s too soon to say this. They could be proven to have dealt with it brilliantly some day and until then it’s just Tory-bashing.

Harries will be one of the first hanged at Wembley Stadium on PPV with all proceeds going towards dead hospital staff families when I lead the coup.

Isn't it strange that you can fly into England, unchecked, unscreened and go about your business but as soon as you try to drive to Wales you will be turned around.

I'm sure the science everywhere states that this virus kills people, is contagious, no vaccine, unsure of immunity and invisible. Stay alert everybody when dropping your guinea pigs off at school.

Yeah but there are fewer Tory voters outside of England. Get back to your manual serf job while I work from home safely for as long as I need to and can see from a safe distance how you get on.

My daughter had an email from her boys' primary school basically saying they couldn't guarantee distancing etc and saying the choice was hers for the rest of the Summer Term, so the little darlings will be at home till September at least...
