Looking at Spanish numbers, the second wave will be upon us in weeks :emoticon-0120-doh:
Yes, seems numbers are going up here, although they say they are controlled.
Maybe was better to keep confinement for longer but money talks.
People here are generally free, wear a mask and thats it, but I see so many groups in houses etc that don't do it.
I am amazed that it has not gone through the roof.
Strange times, live in fear or **** it we will be fine?

I thought the number of infections going up were due to antibody test results now being counted. Wouldn't that mean that people who possibly had the virus in the first wave are now been diagnosed despite recovering weeks/months ago?

Number of infections going up due to people losing patience and discipline.

Hospital numbers and deaths cannot be blamed on rate of testing.

I was talking specifically about Spain. Have deaths and hospital admissions gone up too?

How are you getting on over there Jonny? The U.S doesn't seem to have a handle on it yet. Is everything pretty much open now?

Emu, in Andalucia, where I live, population 8.5m ( same as Switzerland) there are currently 33 patients in hospital with covid.
There are new cases here but mostly asintamtic.
People are behaving, wearing masks, distancing etc.
Stay safe all.

Totally out of control - a mess!

Depends on states and in some cases cities within states.

New York state had it very badly but they seem to have it under control now. Florida, Georgia, Texas and California are straining, hospitals reaching capacity for different reasons.

In Georgia, cities have mandatory mask orders in place and the governor has sued the mayors and city councils to stop them! Too many local officials following trump's lead.

Living in Los Angeles, where the numbers of infections, deaths and hospitalizations are rocketing - I cannot explain it other than some ignore the guidance out there. Many businesses are closed, houses of worship may not hold services indoors.
