They have allegedly been filmed transporting the dead in a fleet of truck to mass graves. Allegedly. (Think that one came from Mr Trump).

Think China have had many more Deaths, there was also I think a Juventus footballer had it about six weeks and sometimes has tested negative and other times positive, think it's all one illness, but suspect testing.

Extrapolating your logic

1 - The virus mutates, therefore any immunity that people may obtain now could be irrelevant in the long term.
2 - Those hit hardest now will still be susceptible to a later attack as the virus mutates, as in 1 above, but may have some protection from a second wave.
3 - Will they benefit in the long run, If you get the flu this year does it prevent you getting the flu in subsequent years?
4 - If you mean have the UK made the right decisions, I personally don't think so
5 - Sweden have a lower death per capita than the UK 343 v 498/ 1 million population

PS I moved this from the daily thread to here as it appeared to be a better place for it.

Some scientist on the radio the other day was saying you need to worry when a virus doesn’t mutate. He said there have been at least two mutations of Covid that have died off very quickly, this is good news as it’s a weakness that scientists will look to exploit

There was an interesting article in The Scientist discussing a possible link between the old TB immunisation injection and enhanced immunity against the coronavirus. Generally it is possible that the TB injection enhances the immune systems defences. TB injections aren't 100% standard now in western countries as TB has to a large extent been eradicated from these countries.

The point is you/we don't know, the virus is very like the flu but the main difference being no one has immunity, yes some seem to have immunity to some seasonal flu viruses.
Do you think Australia will lock down for ever and go back to an Abbo lifestyle, because over half the world will probably only ever get herd immunity as they are poor and have no real health service, being a nation who are highly reliant on tourism, you can't lock the world out for ever and what happens then. No one knows.

Sweden have never had a lockdown, which was my point, was a lockdown necessary.

And how did you move it to this thread are you a spy with mod powers ?. That you brb ?

The BCG jab was something everyone had when I was a kid, Britain goes against this theory big time.

The general immune benefits of the BCG jab don't last a life time, but I thought it interesting from an aspect of enhancing the immune system somewhat and appearing to provide some protection.

No we wont isolate for ever, we are already talking to other countries about opening up international travel with them - the First Movers Group" We are also still exporting food, iron ore, coal, gold etc so not too bad and besides we will be able to visit our own country, there is quite a lot of it.

The UK has also traditionally had a lot of tourists, I can't see it being at the top of a lot of peoples must visit locations just yet!

Modelling would suggest that there would have been a lot more deaths if you hadn't had some form of lock down. Sweden didn't, you are right, but I believe they still carried out social distancing and avoiding people in a sort of Swedish way. Population density, outside Stockholm, probably also helped them.
