Depends by how much it goes over, over time resistance from people who have already had it will bring the R number back down.

No one knows how many people have had it yet.
I read recently that the swinging wasn't actually true, but it was good publicity, so they kept quiet. However, I believe they both had a pass out, if required, but don't know if it was ever used.
Saw them perform on a cruise & as well as the usual (brilliant) act, they did cabaret - and very accomplished they were too (which is coming from someone who's only ever enjoyed cabaret once - at the Moulin Rouge in the 80s). She came out with the dancers, & was dressed the same - incredibly skimpy clothes, stockings, high heels etc. & was a revelation. She's actually a good singer, and matched the dancers steps, high kicks & all. She must have been well into her 60s then.

Has resistance been proved yet? I thought immunity was one of the great unknowns with this virus.

Well China have used anti bodies in blood to get rid of the virus in people, so it's highly likely it will, people can stay infected a very long time, I personally believe the so called caught it again, probably never got rid,as China's testing seems hit and miss.

I can well believe it as I saw the child entertainer grot bags the witch off TV. She did a singing spot later in her act and was really good.
Yes, Brazil, Iran, Russia and then many countries only counting Hospital deaths, India, Pakistan and much of the third world aren't testing many dead.
Don’t think many in Europe are watching figures from those places. Uk only recently started counting nursing home deaths
Watched a program on Brazil the other night, one city had dug an extra 13,000 graves and were burying one every 5 mins, but putting anything but covid as the reason for death.
I wonder what will figures be like in third world African countries where they hardly have water to wash with
Yes the numbers of 1,000+ a day gets everyone's attention so they add them later, our health service just managed, Spain and Italy didn't so they still haven't added up those bad few weeks.
