We've been **** from corners for years, we even had a fanzine called "Another Wasted Corner" many moons ago Players put a red shirt on and suddenly any ability they have ever had to swing a ball in disappears. Plus the other problem is.....we are still **** at defending them as well.
Its clear we need Charlie Adam back, or better still................Iago Aspas.....now he could take a corner.........
I always used to think for every 10 corners or so you should probably have scored, but over 200 corners later, we still havent scored.
Heard some stat which claimed that you are no more likely to score from a conventional corner than a short corner. Don't know weather this is true or not but we need to mix it up a bit. It's not only LFC that can't get passed the first man, I see it happening regularly in the prem.
The probability of scoring from corners is very low to be fair - but the problem I have is that our corners are so poor, like we have no chance of scoring.
Any professional footballer should be able to put a corner near post/penalty spot/far post fairly accurately .........I don't understand how decent player's cannot do it
I remember thinking Gerrard and all his bloody short corners were the reason we were crap at corners... But hes gone and we're still crap at corners. I remember screaming at Rafa on the TV to assign a different corner taker. It's been at least a decade since we were good at them.
