Buckle's Rovers are unbeaten in 3 and have drawn against 2 of the promotion chasing teams. Has Buckle turned the corner and can he win back the fans, or is it a false dawn and he remains an obsequious little git?
I think we may have turned the corner, and at least Buckle hasn't called us all ****s in a while so all is good He is still a **** though
BB, i came away from the Mem on Saturday pleased with the fighting spirit showed by the team. I am not a supporter of Buckle but i think he has learnt his lesson about pissing the fans off. We are not far from being a half tidy side in this division.
i echo mangos comment. buckle has learnt his lesson about how to deal with the fans. he seems to be saying the right things now like how he did during pre-season. i wasnt keen on his arrival but as he was saying the right things and pre-season we looked very good. he won me over. but since beating wimbledon after game 1, we been very poor and his attitude made me hate the <unt. however i have said on here that if he starts doing things right - thats play players in right positions and stop the hoofball and give us fans something to be happy about then he will see the atmosphere he wants instead of bitching about us. if he can keep doing this then i think he could win a lot of fans back over. the fa cup run certainly has got people excited again, but i believe we this cup run has papered over the cracks. we need to remember we beat 2 non league side - both lower that the blue square prem league! if we didnt beat these sides then something would be seriously wrong. we should be winning these games! but these wins has papered over what was becoming a joke of a manager and season. but although it has papered over the cracks we have since faced top of the table southend and got a points even though we didnt deserve it. we were very good (compared to most games this season) vs swindon but only got a point. if we take 1 game at a time and build on them as we go like were currently doing then the papering over the cracks could turn into turning a corner. just got to do the simple basics right on the pitch and avoid injuries. i dont think buckle got what it takes this season to turn it around. i hope he proves me wrong though. swindon game showed me they were playing with more confidence. just got to keep praising and building on this. if we lose to villa, how we as in the players/buckle respond to that will tell is if it was papered over or turned the corner.
Interseting read CJS and I understand where your coming from. The lads may be putting in a little more effort with the Villa game on the horizon, lets just hope we can get on a roll. Southend then Swindon and Gills away next was always a patch of difficult fixtures. I'll reserve my opinion on wether the corner has been turned untill after christmas, I do however beleive PB will get it right at some stage.
Still not convinced. We still need to win LEAGUE games. I don't trust PB at all. He may be starting to publicly relate to the fans but I see no sincerity. To me he's a chancer. The CLUB has lost a lot of its spirit since his arrival.
