I always thought of Cork rightly or wrongly as a midfielder that just moved the ball on, nothing special and mostly average for a midfielder, maybe because I benchmarked him against his superiors of Leon Brtton and Joe Allen who have always seemed to me to be far more dynamic and agressive in possession, and intuitive off the ball, but yesterday I saw for the first time a player thar could well make a name for himself here at Swansea.

Last night's game was good, but Cork was special, and he didn't put a foot wrong all game, he worked his socks off, and when he was subbed, he showed the attitude that we all like to see here at Swansea, for the first time ever Cork impressed me imensly, and I hope he continues in this manner and goes on to prove the charecter that we need from our engine room. Some would say it was the influence of Leon on the pitch, but I don't think so, what I hope is that we have a midfielder that has decided to make his mark, and in that, I say well done Cork.

Cork is a top class CM. Trouble is when Guido picks Fer and Ki alongside him because they are as effective as a wet towel he gets over run in midfield trying to cover their positions too.

Our best CM partnership is Cork and Leon with Gylfi sitting in front of them. Shame the muppet in charge can't see it.

I understand where you coming from with Ki, but Fer does seem to me to be a battling box to box version of Pratley, that we need, and he does have goals in him, so maybe a midfield of Cork, Fer, and Britton would be a better proposition, though Fulton looked good, and is developing nicely........<ok>

That's the best line up we have, and what will get us results, I hope that one day Franco might see the light..........<laugh>

Leroy Fer...scored 3 of our 4 goals....Fer and ( believe it or not ) Naughton lead the team in aerial battles won ....Fer has the highest rating on the team , followed by Fab and then Naughton .....Fer is our only MOTM winner .Better take that wet towel off your head valley .I said before the season started Cork was going to impress this season in leaps and bounds ..and I said Naughton would also under Guidolin . And I've been a big fan of Fer since day 1.Fer , Cork and Naughton 13 million and I certainly wouldn't change them for Allen with a loss of 2 million to boot

Cracking player. Just about every Saints fan you ask will tell you they were sorry to see him go. We just couldn't give him enough game time with Morgan and Victor here. He does his job so well, that people don't notice him, a modern day mr reliable.

We will need 12 players and still probably lose by 3.

I agree with some and you cant fault Fer goals, what you don't see on the TV is his complete lack of effort to get back when he loses the ball, I watched jack Cork run past him to catch up with the player Fer had let go. If he ups his work rate and puts as much effort into getting back as he does getting forward then he will be good for us.

I've been saying that from day one about Fer...We need to play to his strengths and not count on his backtracking , we need to get through balls to him where he his chemicals kick in and he runs with reckless abandon .Speaking of which , we better do something about through balls on us or it will be a long season ..the biggest fault I see with Amat .

Can't say I'm a Fer fan but I don't dislike him, its just he's a box to half way line player imo. Its not because he's not trying either, as some would say, its because he simply isn't quick enough to play that way.

The only way to accommodate him imo, is to drop one of our wingers, which is what Guidolin has been doing all season so far. Problem then is that we are lop sided and we lose all shape. That's ok to do in lower divisions but not in the prem where teams can easily exploit us, again, which is what has been happening all season.

Look what happened Vc City. WE were fine until Fer cam on then we lost all shape and City dominated possession there after. Guidolin needs to drop Fer to the bench I'm afraid, but I can't see that happening because he's Guidos man. He should have waited for Joe, then he wouldn't have this problem of his and we probably wouldn't be in this mess. Good call Guido <ok>
