Cork win div 1 in a rainy Croke park.

Goals from Colm O'Neill and Aidan Walsh seal a 2-10 to 0-11 win as Cork win the top division for the 3rd year in a row.

Congrats to Cark, 3 leagues in a row is a very good achievement. I didnt see the game but I was reading in the paper the next day that people(some of them gaa players) were tweeting about Noel O leary calling him scum, what did he do?

He tried to lift a lad who he thought was feigning injury (Vaughan). He wasn't, but Noellie wasn't to know that although he should have left well enough alone.

He's not entirely in the wrong though as Vaughan likes a dive and jumped on the ground a couple of times in the second half. Noel makes a better story than Vaughan.

I noticed the first time we played Mayo in the league they were diving all over the place, it must be the new manager they have telling them to do it.

I wouldn't have thought so. Ballintubber weren't like that. Mayo needed a mean streak and they are trying to find one. They had the right blend of intensity and phsysicality against us last year but couldn't replicate that against Kerry. I think they are trying to find an edge from some place. Diving ain't it.

A lot of players do it these days. Thankfully it gets highlighted and criticised. Hopefully that will dissuade more folk from doing it.
