Anyone dare make a prediction for the FA Cup 1st round against non league Corby? I still suffer nightmares from being beaten by Kettering many years ago I`m going to stick my neck out and predict a 5-1 win for the Gas and will gladly take all the **** I deserve if we don't succeed.
i am dodging the ***** but 3-2 eitherway looks favourite. i can picture paul buckle at 17.00 if if goes the wrong way--you bunch of ******* ******* you ******** fallin for training monday ******* 4 a *******m!. let us hope the gas win and we have the no small matter of newport county away at 12.30 kick off. good luck the gas and if all else fails--------------------6,15,22,33,34 and 41
I'am a huge City fan, will be at the game tomorrow with my grandson, meeting a friend who's from Corby & have watched the Steelmen for years, shall be with him & the rest of the Corby fans. Anyhow, best of luck to the Gas, believe you will win comfortably.
Thanks BigJohn You seem more optimistic about our chances than most Gasheads Hope you enjoy the day and who knows, the warmth and atmosphere of the hallowed Mem may entice you away from the dark side.
I used to be an optimist when it came to the gas but the ****e we've been turning out over the last few season's has turnt me down the path of realism.
No chance of me becoming a gashead, I'am a City boy & have been for well over 50 years & the grandson has City in his blood too. I used to go to watch the Rovers a few times a season, back in the Alfie Biggs & Harold Jarman days at Eastville, but Ashton Gate has been the place for me, always has & always will be, until of course our new stadium finally gets built!!!! Looking forward to tomorrows game, always enjoyed the FA Cup, not that City have done much in it for years now. Maybe we could meet each other in the third round, if we do then City will win with ease! Lol.
Don`t fret John, it's never too late to tread the path of rightousness. Aside from that I agree, it would be teriffic if we drew each other in the cup, just got to hope we stay in untill round 3 to stand a chance of drawing you and naturally beating you like we did last time we met in a cup competition
In the end a satisfactory win but a disjointed effort and our fitness told in the final part of the match against a very ordinary Conference North side. Doesn't change my opinion one jot. Buckle out.
