Clear cut Copyright infringement. The Logo is also a registered trademark so it's an infringement of that law as well.
That's just the what we have to get used to now. Worldwide exposure leading to cheap copying... Wonder if the town planner/marketing guy is actually a Jack and couldn't resist using the logo? hehe
The Swans registered their trademark in 1998 and it probably covers the UK and Europe only They are a small village in the USA (10,000 population) and have been using it since 2001 so probably not much of an issue tbh
Makes no difference - the copyright is covered by the Berne Convention of which the USA is a member. Clear copyright infringement, but would be churlish to enforce it imo - let's just revel in our world wide popularity.
Could there be a scenario where the town asked if they could use it and the club agreed? I can't see what harm it can do
