Former Premier League referee David Coote has pleaded guilty to a charge of making an indecent image of a child.

The 43-year-old was charged in August following an investigation by Nottinghamshire Police.

He admitted making an indecent photograph of a child on 2 January 2020 at Nottingham Crown Court on Tuesday.

Coote, from Woodhill Road, Collingham, Nottinghamshire, was granted conditional bail and will next appear at court on 11 December.

When you’ve been charged with something like that I don’t know how you would ever leave the house again, the blokes life is over whatever the verdict.

This is for any of the stats lads on here,if I remember correctly we played Peterborough one night at the SoL,ended up 2-2 and Oviedo got sent off,what stuck in my mind that night was one of the worst refereeing displays I’d seen,and never forgot it was a Mr Coote who was refereeing,just wondering if it was the same Cnut
