Right so these are the players running out of contract for next season. Who would you keep and who would you let go?

    Paul Konchesky
    Matt Upson
    Dean Hammond
    Paul Gallagher
    Esteban Cambiasso
    Zoumana Bakoyogo
    Gary Taylor-Fletcher
    Anthony Knockaert
    Conrad Logan
    Marcin Wasilewski

Out of them I would only offer contracts to Cambiasso and Wasilewski.

Konchesky has served the club well but isn't good enough
Upson is injured more often then not and is too old and slow
Hammond is an interesting one and with Matty James getting injured Hammond might get a contract when he wouldnt have before
Gallagher Not good enough in the championship so not good enough for the Prem
    Cambiasso needs no explanation
Bakoyogo never really played in his 2 years here
Taylor-Fletcher was only given a contract this season because a clause in his contract said he had to get one
Knockaert hasnt played enough this season and has already signed for Standard Liege by the sounds of things
Logan sad to see him go but with Schmeichel, Hamer and Schwarzer there is no need for him anymore
Wasilewski has been an absolute rock this season and deserves another year

Don't forget Gallagher - that'll be 20k a week off the wage bill

    Cambiasso - at all costs.
Was - though only if he accepts one year
Hammond - strange one - again i would give him a one year but he may well, personally, be better off to go to championship with a longer contact.

Pretty unanimous - Cambiasso, Was and Deano add valuable experience to what is otherwise a pretty young squad - both in the dressing room and pitch. Wouldnt be surprised for Deano to go for his coaching badges and retire at the top.

On Dean Hammond I think had Matty James not got injured then he wouldnt have got a contract as we need to strengthen the midfield in the summer and I cant see any of King, Drinkwater or James leaving and we want to keep Cambiasso. Adding Hammond and another to that would give us 6 midfielders which is too many IMO. But with James missing 1/2 to 3/4 of the season Hammond might get another year to cover Matty James

In fairness to Hammond he has always done a job for the team whenever he has been asked to

Need to get Huth signed up as soon as for me as well, he's played a massive part in our change of fortunes.

A lot of **** filtering there. I don't think Knocky departure is quite confirmed yet, and Pearson HAS offered him a new contract. I think they ball is in his court.

Would offer Wasyl and Esteban 2 year deals ... their experience will be invaluable and I also think Wasyl could help Liam Moore develop ..

Dean Hammond is a solid pro who can do a job at this level - 1 year extension with squad depth in mind ...

Gary Taylor-Fletcher would be great for morale .... of the catering team ...

That's what L'Equipe claimed ten days ago. Seems our club haven't been made officially aware though, and have offered Knocky a deal which we're still hopeful he'll sign. Until it's official, it's rumour. That said, if I were Knocky, I think I'd probably go.

    Re-sign
    Not bothered either way
    No need

    Paul Konchesky
    Matt Upson
    Dean Hammond

    Paul Gallagher
    Esteban Cambiasso
    Zoumana Bakoyogo
    Gary Taylor-Fletcher
    Anthony Knockaert
(based on reports hes already signed elsewhere, otherwise wouldnt have been bothered anyway)
    Conrad Logan
    Marcin Wasilewski

No need to keep fringe players for me, we need to get players to improve the first 11 and push the subs to the fringe.

Hammond, Cambiasso and Wasyl for me, also try and convince Knockaert to stay as he's still young and has potential to be really good in this league.

    he's probably on £10 a week.

That'd still work out about £30,000 per appearance!
