Looking at the state of play at the club with the 1st team squad, it seems the vast majority are 2027/26/25. There are still some that need looking at or maybe not:

    • Rodrigo 2024
    • Koch 2024
    • Harrison 2024
    • Forshaw 2024
    • Poveda 2024
    • Cooper 2024
    • Ayling 2023
    • Dallas 2024
    • Roberts 2024
    • Cresswell 2023
    • Shackelton 2024
Rodrigo is now worth a big chunk of the money we shelled out for him if sold this summer, or is he worth a new deal? Koch and Harrison are in negotiations now. Poveda will never make it here but will probably run his contract down and leave on a free next summer after another loan. Roberts will never make it here and his lack of performance and poor injury record means we will have trouble offloading him Shackelton needs to be gone and then we have Cooper and Dallas to think about and both are delivering less and less for the club. Ayling and Cresswell can leave on freebies in a few months…….. my view is that we shouldn’t offer a new deal to Ayling and as he has been a good servant allow him to leave on a free as his playing time gets less and less and his injuries and yellow cards increase. Cresswell needs a new deal though

    Sign Cresswell.

    Sell Koch, Harrison and Cooper.

Offer Rodrigo an extra year on a reduced wage for that extra year.

**** the rest off apart from Dallas who deserves the chance to come back after everything he's given.

Use the wages saved for a quick centre half, a left back and some ****er to get assists.

I'd still extend it and think about building a back 4 with Cresswell in charge of it in the future.

One year extension will be announced at the end of January once we fail to sign anyone. It will be like having a new signing......again.

Cresswell can't make the Millwall CB slot his own - & that's in the Championship! What makes you so sure that he's capable of nailing down a Leeds CB slot as his own? Even if he makes it, his development to that standard could take years, but time is our enemy, presently. He's still ony a promising kid, & should be treated as such. God knows he already has enough pressure on him.

Guess we have to hope that he goes through the same development as Ben White, nobody had heard of the kid going out to L2 clubs on loan but yet Bielsa and Orta saw something in this kid. Maybe the guy at Milwall wouldn’t know a footballer if he had one next to him. I dont know but so many people at Leeds all say the same thing about him and give him higher marks because of his leadership. Cresswell is younger than White was when he came, let’s see..

Cos I've seen him play and believe he is the no nonsense type defender and leader on the pitch we desperately need. I'd like to build the defence around a guy like that.

Extend Rodrigo's, no idea about Creswell as he hasn't really been tested at pl level, the rest can head off. No problem finding as good or better if we have any kind of scouting system

Keep Cressy but throw him out on loan again. Only one that can really make any real money is Harrison try to tie him down as we be the losers if he leaves as he be worth alot more under a contract. Ayling,Cooper keep but run out there contracts Rodders is scoring but so many better players out there. same with Koch there's better out there. So I wouldn't be to bothered in letting either go. the rest need to go.

After Struijks and Kristensens showing at the weekend I wouldn’t be too quick at throwing Cooper and Ayling out that’s for sure. Rodrigo has shown his worth and with Bamford unlikely to be seen again we should keep him.

Rodrigo has lately stated he is happy living here. We need to keep him as he fits the club now.

Who is out there better than Rodrigo that we can afford? He has two less league goals than Ivan Toney who got an England call up and one less than Mitrovic who everyone is drooling over.

Don’t make any decision just yet, wait for the new coach to come in and evaluate what or who he needs.
