It's that time of year again.

    Ferrie Bodde's contract expires soon.

Should he be given a new one ?

After watching him being carried off in a reserve game after a few minutes I've now given up all hope. :( No contract I'm afraid.

He's not even had surgery yet; they are still diagnosing the extent and nature of the injury. If he does require full surgery that's the best part of another season gone. Such a talent though so I would go along with the "pay as you play" suggestion.

Good news about Kemy. He's certainly got the muscle we need as well as possessing other attributes; wonder about his mobility though.....

No worse than Sig's mobility I suppose Ivor . Can't help but think Augustien still has a lot more to show , pretty excited about his next season ... wishful maybe but seems a powerful player .

Someone I know was having a conversation with Martin Morgan and asked him, "c'mon then, who's coming and who's going?" Martin replied "oh Jesus, we're still celebrating. The first thing we have to do is try and secure Sigurdsson."

Bodde, how old is he now? can't see him ever coming back, don't want us to wast any more money on him, maybe a Pay as you play at best! I've closed the door on Bodde to be honest, good news on Agustien though, we could have done with him in the more scrappier games..............<cheers>

It would be interesting to see how BR picks and plays 3 from Britton, Sigs, Allen and Agustien .... maybe an Orlandi if he stays fit.

    Re: Bodde - no.

I'm as sentimental as anyone, and rate Bodde as highly as anyone, but with Matt Bates breaking down again I think the chances of him playing for us again are so small the Swans wouldn't sanction it.

I would love to see ferre coming back, but the longer he is out the harder its going to be to come back apart from the physical side theres the confidence in the leg/knee and age is against him..pay as you play is good buut it might be good to keep him on in some role ie coaching badges and an assistant role somewhere rather than the scrapheap. He deserves better than that

Didn't realise that Bates was injured again, thank god we didn't sign him when we put a bid for him, we got enough on our plate with Bodde. And in regards to him he should retire as there no chance of coming back.

I thnk the time is right to say no to Bodde now. The guy was a real talent, and personally, I'm gutted for the lad. We've given enough time for him to make his comeback, but evertime he breaks down. It's obvious he will never play again,so maybe give him a chance to get a coaching badge and give him a role.

Whatever he does, I hope we don't throw him out on the scrap heap. He's worth more than that to Swansea City.

put all the players who are good enough on long contracts and get rid of all the surplus to requirements and that includes boddie.....past it now and will never play again in a swans shirt, probably find it hard for anyone to take him on now as he is to high risk to bother with.....<ok>

Depends on the opposition I suppose, or if we're trying to close out a game. Augustien is more of a holding midfielder imo.
