Emma Winnall, 94-Year-Old, Viciously Beaten In Own Bed please log in to view this image A 94-year-old woman has been severely injured after being attacked in her own bed, West Midlands police have revealed. Emma Winnall, of Pensby Close, Moseley, was assaulted overnight between Monday 30 April and Tuesday 1 May. She has been kept in hospital with a litany of injuries including a fractured skull, broken arm, broken wrist and a partially severed finger. She is also covered in bruises and cuts after attack. Mrs Winnall has undergone emergency surgery, which included inserting metal plates into her arm. West Midlands Police Detective Chief Inspector Sarb Johal, said: "It doesn't appear anything was stolen from the lady's home and the interior was largely undisturbed. "We believe an implement of some sort was used during the assault â our forensics experts are scouring the property in the hope of shedding some light on exactly what happened. "She suffered very nasty injuries and ones which, given her age, could well have been life threatening. She is showing signs of improvement in hospital; our thoughts are with her and hopefully she will make a full recovery." The police investigating the attack have yet to determine a motive for the attacks. They have released a picture of Mrs Winnall's condition, urged by her daughter, with the hope that it will "stir consciences and persuade anyone with information" to contact police. Mrs Winnall was found by her carer at 9am on Tuesday morning, however the attack could have happened at any point in the previous twelve hours. Detective Chief Inspector Johal added: "This is a truly sickening attack on a defenceless, frail lady as she slept in her own home. Mrs Winnall had nothing of note to stealâ¦it was a senseless assault and I'd urge anyone with suspicions about who may be responsible to get in touch straight away." But following on from your earlier thread.... Let them do a short time in prison and then give them a job............. It's so wrong on so many levels.
It;s wrong mate, anyone who can do this to a defenceless 94 year old lady, who has probably served in the war, and contributed so much to how the UK can live today... These people deserve no remorse, and no second chance.
There are no words strong enough to describe scum like this. Send them to a prison in a 3rd world country rather than the relative luxury they get over here.
Sign of the times I'm afraid. If they do catch those responsible some low life solicitor will give a bleeding hearts excuse that they are misunderstood, had a crap home life or were out of their heads on drugs, and we will lock them up and let them out after serving half their sentence, the justice system in this country stinks, there is no REAL deterrent anymore, the police cant even let them fall down stairs anymore and injure themselves....I could go on but you get my drift.
the only prisoners that can be rehabiitated and returned back into the comunity is those prisoners who have made a mistake and will serve there sentence. unfortunately the vast majority of prisoners are re offenders and there is no hope for them. they will retun time and time again and drain the comunity of all its resorces leaving no money for law abiding citizens.
if caught give the ****er or ****ers, to the parachute regiment for a week, telling all the lads there what they have done, and post the pics.I guarantee after1 week they will never be bastards again, only we have the correctional facilities to put these scum on the straight and narrow.

Chain him to a lamp post in the center of town with a big sign above his head explaining what he did. Doubt he'd survive for 5 minutes. I work in Africa, armed robbers very rarely get reported to the police and repeat offenders don't exist.
Used to be a regular offender, a twoccer (Taken Without Owners Consent) stealing cars and had numerous convictions for it. One day his mam was visited by some local guys and told one more time and they would stop it. This 16 year old stole a car again and 6 men beat the living daylights out of him. To the best of my knowledge he never re-offended certainly not in the next 2 years whilst I worked there. ( Incidentally the East End of Sunderland) Numerous cautions, warnings did nothing. getting a couple of broken ribs, busted nose & mouth, battered & bruised everywhere sorted him out. Not saying it was right but his mam was actually glad it happened.
I like the American system, three strikes and your out, or should i say IN for the rest of your natural. Failing that bring back the rope. If they require a hangman i will voluteer my services for free. Mind you i have no knowledge regarding the correct drop etc etc but if they fall a little to far and their heads are ripped off who's to complain.
