Might be down to the opposition having an almost total lack of functional strikers.
Southampton left theirs on the bench, Chelsea don't have anyone and Wolves' was a sub.

You really need to see the distance histograms,
although the piccies at face value do show how the
    opposition are being pushed out.

Although 3 games gone (so you don't expect any
significant patterns to emerge so soon) , I had a look :

    https://www.not606.com/threads/squad-performance-watch-2022-23.400925

I do see that the Spurs defence are currently blocking
50% more shots on target than last season (which
could be forcing more attempts from further out) .

Oh boy, Harry ****espout is claiming that Conte's system marginalises Sonny which is why he;s not scoring

Remind me, how many goals did Sonny score in Conte's system last season...?

Regardless of goals scored, it is palpable nonsense. Son thrives on the counterattacking style we play. Fast breaks between our front three is what we are best at.

I've been to see 5 games under Conte. They have all be decent.

I enjoy watching us play which I hated from late 2019 until Conte arrived.
We create 6 or so more chances per game, score more, press the ball...in short we play decent and mostly entertaining football.

Yes, we are more pragmatic but along with the entertaining football is fine by me.

Yes, he has made mistakes in formations and selections at times but all managers do.

This is a long version of I do not get the problem anyone can have with Conte.

    1. The pre WC 2022 part of the season is going
to be utterly brutal. All PL managers will feel it,
but scrutiny will be harshest on the usual suspects
(as they have the greater finances regarding squads) .

    2. The play of the final third of last season is
a rod that Conte has made for his own back
(an ironic position to be in) .

So a problem put to Conte is how to get thru #1
while continually serving up #2 ??

Can it be done ?? Perhaps,
If not, how much less of #2 will supporters endure
    to get thru #1 ??

We are already seeing this play out.
The games this month has not been close to #2,
yet come FT tonight Spurs could be +10 pts
on the "season compass" with only 5 games gone.

More than anything else, it betrays that they're not watching matches and only looking at the scoreline

Chelsea, Wolves and Forest all doubled up on Son, in fact Chelsea often tripled up on him, and that’s why he's not banging them in - and also why an elite RWB would really unlock the team

The phrasing is more than a little cringey, but he does have a point

Hugely impressive. We really were a shambles before he and Conte were appointed.

Now...? We're transformed across the management of the club and the team. He's also restructuring scouting and the academy.

He is, at least, as critical as Conte to our future.

According to brummy based journalist, Brian Dick (great name), Ex-Birmingham City DoF, Jeff Vetere, has joined/ set to join Don Fabio’s scouting team as someone focused on international signings for the U21s.
