Because, in other news, our former MP, now at a north London club, has expressed an interest in the England job.

This is a chance to stuff Spurs and get a decent coach into the England job. Aren't the rules that if we get a petition going there has to be a referendum or something? Parliament must act on this. Theresa May and Big Jez will be united in saying "Mauricio means Mauricio" and Spurs will be reduced to headless chickens. Get writing.

Can't see it myself, if he didn't leave Spurs for the Argentina job in the summer can't see why he would leave for the England job. Probably was just asked by a journo and gave some non committal answer like "never say never" and they've made a story about how he is open to it.

He'd be a brilliant choice for the team, but he'd be quite mad to take it.
