It has been revealed that representatives from the consortium who are behind the protracted takeover talks tried to intervene and keep Snodgrass at the club. Obviously it failed, but it does at least show that the takeover bid is somewhat still in place, which must give us all a sigh of relief. Word has it that it is by no means a foregone conclusion that Ross will go.... Colin was quoted as saying "I'd rather keep him and Ross knows that. I think we'll have to play it by ear. If Ross starts to enjoy himself, which I think he is, then we'll see how it goes".
Snoddy wanted to go, I think we all know that now. Ross may be looking for a deal that he feels he deserves and which the club can afford, the ball is in the Leeds boards court. Ross before Beckford all the time.
Ross is a down to earth bloke, who sees himself part of a team. Beckford is an ego maniac who sees himself as the team. They don't fit together.
So proves that as he still had a year on his contract left and as we could have simply said no you are staying the decision to sell was Bates/Harvey and I would imagine that means more £'s in the pockets as rumoured.
