Whilst we are quick to oppose or critisise the decisions taken by Mr Higgs and co,following recent managerial appointments and the last three years lack of entertainment. I feel we should congratulate the team who obviously worked so hard to secure the future of Bristol Rovers by not only agreeing the sale of the mem to Sainsbury's also working in partnership with UWE to build a new 21,700-seat stadium,on land owned by UWE. The new stadium development offers new hope for Rovers, it now requires the chairman and board members to refocus there attention and develop an on the field strategy,to stabilise and transform the structure of the coaching and playing staff which has over the last 4 years seen far to many changes in direction which has seen money leave the club following a series of rash managerial appointments and poor player signings, the results of which are well documented. A shiny new stadium on the horizon will not solve all the ills of the club, however it is an important peice in a jigsaw that was required,I would suggest that they consider some fresh input onto the board to complete the next phase...... The transformation of Rovers into a Championship club with Premiership ambitions. For know the plaudits go to Nick Higgs and team Well done and thanks What changes would you make to ensure stability on the field of play for next season. COR View attachment 22163

biggest mistake for me was sacking paul trollope or maybe even before that and that was getting rid of lennie lawrence. other than that, on paper its been bad appointments such as - penney, campbell, buckle and mcghee - which makes higgs look bad. but if you look deep enough, penney didnt really have a chance and the player didnt play for him. campbell was 3rd manager of the season and was too late for him to have an impact. doubt anyone would have saved us so after sacking trolls and penney, which took a big chunk of money, finances meant campbell was best option. a lot of people was keen on buckle and when he arrived higgs got a lot of praise for getting in a young up and coming manager. just bad management by buckle in the end. higgs financially back buckle more than any other manager in my opinion. rovers was a step to far up for buckle. mcghee we all thought was a very good signing for league 2 level and he saved us and was unbeaten at home last season. but it didnt work out this season for him. people were calling for higgs head even though we were very close to the uwe stadium which would make higgs one of the best chairmans we have had. people saying something not right board level and teh whole club rotten from top to bottom. however ward has come in and proved it wasnt the case. think higgs has been unlucky with his managerial appointments. higgs and company deserve a hell of a lot of credit, for the stadium and not giving up when the fans was calling for his head and for his continued financial backing keeping rovers goin. building up partnerships with uwe and south glos council and sainsburys building up our profile and allowing us to grow. because of higgs i think our future is bright, very bright. great thread carry-on
