The difference is he's getting game time with NI that he doesn't get with us. I don't think JFH knows what to do with him...

At least there'll be a secondary reason to shouting for NI at the Euros now - hopefully he'll bag a goal or two to up his confidence, ready for pre-season

Delighted for him. Really hope he does well in France. He has had plenty of game time with us but not delivered so far. He has played 10 games for QPR, obviously some as a sub.

Yes, wish him well. Playing up front on his own for us doesn't seem to suit him, I'm convinced he will come good in a hooped shirt.

Good luck, Conor. I'll be cheering you on.
Who else have we got in the Euros?

Sincerely hope he comes good and finds his feet.
We as a club can only benefit from his involvement in this tournament.

As Australia were in the Euro song do da, I expect we'll be able to cheer on Luongo as well.

Let's hope some good performances and goals will help him with confidence when he returns to us. Also, maybe JFH will bring in some other who can help his game as well.
Nice to see QPR players represent their respective countries

Ten five minute cameos doesn't qualify as "plenty of game time"

If only. Off the top of my head, at least two of those games he started but was subbed after 65/70 minutes.

Washington has played for us in 15 matches.

    Of those games he has had 7 starts completing 2 full games and subbed in 5. ( 80, 73, 80, 70 & 74 mins. )

    He has come on as a sub in 8, coming on in the 83, 62, 45, 82, 79, 84, 87, & 63rd mins.

Thanks a lot 999's. I make that best part of 800 minutes he has played for QPR not including injury time. That represents far more than "10 minute cameos" as stated by other posters. It is equivalent to roughly 9 full matches.

I'm confident he'll come good within the next 4 or 5 seasons, probably in League One.

Actually think he'll be ok, and this trip to France will do him the power of good.

Yes, I think the trip to the Euros and the goals he is scoring for NI will do his confidence the world of good.

I am hopeful he will come good too. I just haven't been too impressed with what I've seen so far.

That's why I never understood it when our fans were moaning that JFH wasn't using him. He was. I think it's because CW hasn't scored that makes it look like he wasn't involved. It's a big step-up to play in the Championship from where he has come from, which is why he has featured how he has. Hopefully he'll soon be the first name on the teamsheet.

Why don't we just get behind the lad and support him? We have had one or two (cough cough) that have come to the R's and not played for the shirt, players such as (and apologies for any nightmares this name gives - Bob Malcolm) and players such as Tony Sealy (showing my age a little here) that was a trier. Def not the most gifted but he tried. Let's support the boy - next season with other JFH players around him we might just find we have a decent striker - but he at least deserves a chance to prove himself. 9 full matches - Sir Alex took 3 years to prove he was the right manager (different role I know) but QPR cannot afford to spend £2.5 mill and then not invest in their employee with time match time and training.

Who's not getting behind him? I would be delighted if he scored a goal for us. The more he scored the merrier. All I have ever said about him is that I think Peterborough done very well getting 2.5-3.5 million out of us for his services. He might look like a world beater next season and I hope he does but last season, I was very disappointed with what I saw. I expected more for the money we paid.

Sorry Finglas, I have been reading this as though he has been given enough time and opportunities to prove himself. I agree with what you say about Peterborough getting good money for him, I would just like to think he can come good with us.
