I said this one straight after the takeover happened and I maintain this is a sensible transfer.

It’s a yes from me.

We need a CB or even 2 and we desperately need some quality in midfield that would transform this miserable bunch of players.

Apparently the PL clubs aren't willing to do business with us. Obviously Tarkowski is a different story with his contract expiring. I still think come January, clubs and players will get tempted by the money.

I'd avoid them.. Don't give them any money and suffocate them in the foreign market

I see that. But once we start waving money at them they will change their mind.

The fact is money talks.

Coady and Tarkowski (either of them) would be great. We need CM's to replace Shelvey/Longstaff/Hayden but I think the rest of our team should be ok for this season. I'll take more obviously.

Lascelles was poor yesterday. Benteke was able to look like a world beater and who was supposed to be marking him when we were getting murdered at crosses. Clark is no longer good enough to be marking your main opponent, if it was him. Need to get Schar and Ferdi in as a pairing, and soon.
