Congratulations on a very good workman like opening day victory against one of the favourtes for automatic promotion.

Thought the difference was when the late substitution was made and also Miller showed his class in taking the goal even though the pass was slightly behind him. Once a goal scorer always a goal scorer.

Best of luck for the season and hope we can revive the on field derby rivalry next season in the Prem.

    Cheers Jax,

Early days but played with more passion, a tad lucky but it happens.

Yes a Prem. Welsh derby would be brill, I think both teams have a tough season ahead.

I think in most games teams ride their luck a little especially away from home. The successful sides do that and then take their chance when it comes.
Your dead right Rhondda when you say both of us will need a bit of luck this year but me thinks we will need more luck than you!

    Thanks jax.

We had a littlke bit of luck, but at the end of the day, we played to a plan and it worked. I thought the defence was excellent after a shaky start and Hudson in particular looked a class act - his distribution has improved no end.

I guess you Swans are getting really excited by now. I hope it all goes well for you and that you enjoy your season. I thing if BR can keep you playing your football, you'll be fine. Best wishes. <ok>

Morning Clingo. I said on my Been Out All Day thread, I didn't see the game at all yesterday <steam> due to more imortant issues closer to home (all resolved).

However, I had a very pleasant surprise (and it WAS a surprise) when I came back home about 5 ish. <ok>

As for your remark regarding the Swans for the forthcoming season, with due respect to Jax, I must say some of their more regular visiting posters on here make it very difficult for a lot of us to share your sentiments.

Hey ho, that's life on the boards though. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Ace - I'm going easy on them at the moment in defference to their obvious grief over the weekend. I've been reading their posts though, and they all seem pretty suicidal without me having a go at them. <laugh>

Or is that over the Adge?.......<laugh>

I will renew hostilities shortly and try to get a response from some of them. I fear it may be something of a task as the cider intake over there seems to have been replaced with embalming fluid.........<laugh>

I just think its a shame Andrew Taylor didn't sign for them.
Calamity James would have had a left back to pass to instead of Chopra for the first goal...whoops, my mistake...THIRD goal :)
