Congratulations on winning the league on Sunday, for sheer consistency I'd say you deserved it! Well done.
Indeed they should have been, but Man City finished mid-table and were promoted twice, little ol' Doncaster were relegated after 90 minutes of football to make way for them. While Durham finished second (I think) and were promoted 4 friggin' times (as were Oxford I think, but not sure where they finished)! Don't get me started on the corruption of the WSL
Seeing as there's some interest in women's football here, please sign this petition: http://www.petitionbuzz.com/petitions/doncasterbelles For those that don't know, basically it's in response to the 'relegation' of Doncaster after just 90 minutes of football in response to the expansion of the WSL to two divisions in order to make way of Man City who finished mid-table (defeated twice this season by the mighty Pompey) but just so happens to have lots of money and are a big name, meaning 'small' clubs like Doncaster should make way for the 'big clubs'. Doncaster have apparently never been relegated from the top-flight until this season when they weren't relegated on the pitch but off the pitch. Personally I think it's an utter disgrace and is just more another example of the the FA bending over backwards for the 'big clubs' and I'm completely sick of it. So I urge you to sign this petition and tell all your friends and families. Even if you don't have much interest in women's football or Doncaster, it's the principle that stinks and it's something all football fans should be against, regardless of who they support.. There's a good article on Doncaster's plight which talks about the situation in a far more articulate manner than myself: http://popularstand.wordpress.com/2...n-the-fas-relegation-of-the-doncaster-belles/
Can`t belive what I have just read and have`nt noticed it any of the media .My heart goes out anybody associated with Belles ,its a Bloody disgrace . fair play to you for bringing this up
