I always liked him as a player and a manager at the Vic so it is great to see him getting promoted with Burnley. Good luck to them next season.
ditto, wonder how he'll do in the Prem? BBC Sport's Andy Cryer at Turf Moor: "Few expected Burnley to be challenging for an automatic promotion spot at the start of the season, with a number of their Championship rivals spending big in an attempt to get into the Premier League. "Clarets boss Sean Dyche has only paid a transfer fee for one player since being appointed in October 2012 - buying Ashley Barnes from Brighton for in the region of £400,000 in January."
An excellent job by Dyche. Wish him and Burnley well in the top flight. Showed no bitterness about being dumped and just gone on to prove he is a top manager.
Ditto to the Dyche sentiment, but not so for the club he manages. Sometimes it is hard to forgive the actions of any club's neanderthal fans....
Well done Sean and Burnley - great to see who have played good football with the resources at their disposal get promoted and I so hope they can give a good account of themselves next season. So refreshing compared to some clubs who have tried to buy their way to promotion - no names, but that shower of West London **** springs to mind.
He has done an unbelievable job with an average squad. His players have got promoted by giving 100% every game
More likely to be the "Special One" after he fails to gain a trophy for Chavski and gets the Russian roulette!
Could not agree more and I hope that he makes a fist of it in the Prem and does not get the sack by not meeting the owners overblown expectations next season. Makes you wonder how he would have succeeded with our present lot....
He would not have put up with players being unloaded on to him. I suspect that was one of the reasons for him not being retained when the Pozzos came in. I also suspect that he will not still be with Burnley in eighteen months time.
I agree with both those points - I hope for Dyche's sake the latter is for a positive reason. ie - Got a top club.
Seems it may have been a mistake to let him go. Another great bit of wisdom from the foreign owner contingent
Not sure what it has to do with a Hull fan. Without our foreign owners our club would have been in administration so they may not get everything right but we have had two good seasons with them so far and Sean Dyche probably would not have fitted their mould - good luck to him - but he probably was forced to make the right move.
Just bumping up this thread as I found a nice interview with S.D. on this link, http://talksport.com/football/exclusive-burnley-boss-dyche-bemoans-transfer-travails-140807106320, hope Burnley do well this season. Sordell in the Prem too!!!
, Strange to get Sordell, I very much doubt that will help him but I hope he does well despite that,!
